FSN (channel 403) shows some of the super 14 games. Here in illinois its an additonal charge for an extra sports tier which includes FSN and a bunch of other fox sports channels.

If you have dish network you can get a household subscription to Setanta which is an Irish satellite sports channel used by a lot of bars. Its about $12 a month but they show a lot of soccer and rugby.

I feel your pain about the lack of rugby on TV. I've had to listen to all of Englands 6 nations games through online radio because I can't find any other way of monitoring the action live. I'm dreading the world cup rolling round next year and me still being unable to watch any of the games live !!

It's a petiton that a Brit living in the US started to try and get Rugby shown on ESPN. Currently there are about 17000 'signatures'... send it around to other aussies, kiwi's or any other rugby loving ex-pat living in the US !!

Mark :)

Right. Setanta is the one to go for.

If you are interested in Rugby on a level somewhat below  the international standard, there are lots and lots of Rugby clubs in California. During the season one can watch games every weekend, and during summer there are lots of Sevens-tournaments everywhere.

There will also be a meeting in June or July (I would have to look the date up, it's moving around a bit still) of the Irish and the US National team. The meeting will be near San Francisco. That should be fun, and most certainly the US team will get clobbered. Sorry, guys, but that's the way it is.
