A few questions about re-started topics

We all know it's verboten to re-start a closed topic. However, is any administrative action taken against members who post in re-started topics if they weren't the ones to re-start them? More specifically, does it add anything to one's naughtiness meter? Does it make a difference if the non-starting but participating member seems to know that they're posting in a re-started topic?

Well THAT settles it then -- if the would-be-mod n00b (a moob?) says it, than it is so.

You should know that one of the mod audition requirements is to write a 5,000 word essay on the TOS, eschewing textspeak/lolcat/Martian in favour of proper grammar and spelling. (English only outside the regionals!) It should make good use of citations and secondary sources throughout. It will be posted in Site Related where it will be critiqued. Your performance and execution are key to elevation to modhood.

You may hope that's the case, but really, 5,000 words is a pretty modest length for an essay of such importance.

I think you should probably not take the risk. Don't post. It would be terrible to get thread banned for something no one reads. You would feel like Keith Olberman or something
