Hi there,

Just worried about something I have written on the D-156 re - working within the US - I have sent off the document to say No - however once approved etc I really need to work - the reason why I said No was because I didn't know what to put as the employer address etc.

What should I do as I don't want to be refused to work? Should I re-do the document and send it with a covering letter explaining or wait?

Please help!

Gemma

good.gif Correct! It doesn't matter. That form is used for other type of visas too, and that is why is specifically says you must provide the address of your employer. On the sample form provided here, the option is to click on YES and Type "WITH WORK AUTHORIZATION, EMPLOYER UNKNOWN" on the box; but it's completely irrelevant.

You will NOT be able to work until your have your EAD or Green Card in hand... whichever comes first.
