I'm thinking we won't get an interview date until we get the RFE stuff back. Am I right on this?

I overlooked the fact you had an RFE. Unfortunately, they will wait to review your RFE before scheduling your interview. Sometimes, it doesn't delay too much the interview date but it depends on how quick you reply.

I should be able to mail off the evidence required on Tuesday of next week. Hopefully they'll begin processing her case again shortly after that, although It's a bit depressing to read the RFE hard copy and see that they say they'll begin again 'within 90 days.' Ugh.

I think they will still process the EAD. I didn't receive any RFE (Hopefully I won't) and I havent received my EAD either. So I think you are still fine.

Yes, according to previous applicants' data, they should continue processing the EAD. Expect a text/mail notification from them next week.

Hey everyone,

I think I saw somebody write on here that when they checked their Case Status online at the USCIS website that they had an OMB Control Number and an Expiration date, written at the bottom of the page in red.

Anyone seen this before?

What is the number?

What about the expiration date?

I'm waiting for my EAD/AP to come in.

Does it even mean anything? I'm a Junes filer and at the bottom of my page the exp date is the same as the post I read and that person filed months before me..

I don't know how it relates to your forms, but I do know that at some point in the last couple years, our gov't decided that federal forms need OMB numbers and expiration dates. It's a headache because it guarantees that otherwise unchanged forms routinely expire and have to be "updated" by changing the expiration date. Of course, lots of times they don't get the forms "updated" in time, so then they have to send out a notice that the old form is still good despite the expiration date.

I deal with this all the time at my job. It's a big waste of time and money, and they use it to reject what you send them because the expiration date is wrong. Your U.S. tax dollars at work...

I'll stop ranting now.
