Ok guys, here's where I'm at... I just had my biometrics last Friday & it went smoothly. Now here's my dilemma... I recieved an RFE on income tax return thingy. I already received the IRS transcript ready, my questions are:

-is the IRS tax return transcript enough?

-should I send another I864 form again? I know I've already sent one with the I485.

Here's what the notice said:

" Submit a complete Federal Income Tax Return submitted to the Internal Revenue Service from the petitioner/sponsor on form I864, Affidavit of Support, for the most recent tax year. "

Please help.. Thanks again & God bless to us all.

You should post this in the adjustment of status forum in order to get more exposure (this is not a progress report).

My understanding is they only need the transcript, you don't have to send the I-864 form again.

Ugh. Well, after only receiving hard copies of communication from USCIS, I finally received a text for a case update...

...in the form of an RFE notification. I suppose I'll get it in the mail within the next few days.

*Sigh* I was hoping I could do this without an RFE. Oh well, just another obstacle to get past.

It's been 11 days for us. I called USCIS yesterday to ask about a letter I received from them via USPS, and since I had the person on the phone, I asked the same question you just did. She said it was absolutely normal for your case status not to be updated when you have completed your biometrics appt. A couple of folks here on the forum have made the same comment, so I really think you're ok.

Relax and don't drive yourself crazy; your NOA date is June 4th. An early bio doesn't guarantee a sped-up process. You're well within the normal processing time; expect delays and rejoice if things get expedited, not the the other way around. I haven't seen a touch on my account even though I do believe I have an earlier priority date than yours. I know we're all eager to move on with our life but there's no need to grow grey hairs.

Nah, may case online just says that one is on the way. So far, it seems mail takes about a week to get to me, so I have to sit here waiting to find out. I'm trying not to be overly disappointed; at least someone's looking at my case. On the other hand, I took so much care to ensure that I had everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, I thought they'd need. Guess I fell a little short.

Oh well. It is what it is.

Hopefully it's something you can take care of quickly. Have you got your petitioner tax transcripts? It seems to be the most requested evidence. You can order them online but it takes about a week to get to you (the petitiioner might be able to do a walk-in at your local IRS office to speed up the process). I have seen a few applicants get their GC in 90 days even with an RFE. Good luck.

I have a feeling my RFE is for the same thing. I submitted 2008, '09, and '10 tax returns, as well as a copy of my extension for this year, but I'm guessing they want to see the '11 return. Oh well.
