If you received a physical RFE in the mail, then it will have the exact information that you need to submit that you were missing. I would find it hard to believe that a mistake as been made if a physical notice has been sent.

I know that if you are showing property as an asset to cover the 125% guideline, then the general rule is that it the asset(s) must be easily turned into liquidity within 12 months *and* by liquidizing an asset, it can cause no hardship on the sponsor.

This is pretty hard to do if you are using your house as an asset since they are usually not easy to sell and if sold, they generally leave the sponsor homeless. Not sure if you have multiple properties?

Yes, I used a couple separate properties and some stock certificates. I actually didn't use my house at all, so no worries about it being liquid. The problem is that there aren't any licensed appraisers in the area, so only had and appraisal from a few years ago. Since there were no guidelines on what "recent" appraisals meant, I thought it might work, but I guess not :/

Anyways, I think I have figured out another way to go about it though, and just doing the rental agreements that I have along with the property information/past taxes. I probably will also do an info pass appointment to go over some of this stuff with an officer in person.

Of course I am no expert on such matters but just some general perceptions:

1) I gather that you are using your rental properties as assets? If so then this may be a cause of issue due to the notice you must give a tenant to evict and I am not sure how the hardship rule defers to a third party.

2) Personal question, but if you are making an income from rental properties then you can include this on your I-864.

3) I would not make an info pass appointment to go over this type of RFE, I would make an consultation with an AILA approved attorney-- most consultations range from free to a few hundred bucks and for complicated cases beyond the norm are going to be well worth the time and money compared to information from an infopass appointment were if you submit an a response to an RFE based on their incorrect information then is no recourse for action based on their words-- at least with a qualified AILA attorney, you have someone actually knowledgeable in the Immigration Law!

I just received email notification for interview today excited yet very nervous. I need to start to find the information about preparation.

Sorry I didn't keep track of detailed dates of my application process but the my package was delivered on 5/5 and email notification of acceptance on 5/9. Hope it helps!

It really depends on how good your local post office is. I got mine the fourth day!
