So, I went to the USCIS Office in Tampa today for my Bio apt.

I left early to leave time for traffic. My apt was scheduled for 9:00 am.

Traffic was TERRIBLE, but I was still there early (8:30).

I walked in, showed the security guy my appointment letter (it wasn't a problem that I was early). Went through the security scanner.

I joined a line, a woman stamped my letter, had a look at my passport, checked my hands to see there was nothing on them.

Then I had to fill out a form and return it to her.

When I gave it back to her, she gave me a number to wait to be called.

After maybe 1 minute I was called by another woman who took my fingerprints and photo.

She told me that I would hear something in 30-90 days... hopefully closer to 30 than 90!

That was it!

Probably took 10-15 mins max.

ALSO, the girl that took my prints and photo told me that most of the people are part time workers and she couldn't tell me anything about my case. I asked her about never receiving my NOA1, she hadn't a clue what I was talking about and told me to call the hotline for questions about my case.

I'm confused on my situation.. We filed AOS on May 10. I recieved he I-797C which was for the biometrics appt (june 18). But yesterday when I checked my application status (both my EAD & AOS) online, it says that :

Initial review:

On May 31, 2012, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case.

Same goes for my I765 by the way..

Now I'm worried.. :(

Nothing to worry about, just call the USCIS help-line number and they will just re-send the NOAs for the I-485, I-130 & I-765 after verifying that the address they have on file is correct.

Also, make sure that both the applicant's and petitioner's names are on your mail-box and the USPS has you listed as the occupants. This usually helps to avoid further delivery complications.

Thanks ChrisPG.. I'm just wondering what notices were they? I mean my wife's name is listed on the mailbox but I did received the NOAs that they sent on the same address. Nothing was changed.

What correspondence have you received so far?

1) NOA for I-130?

2) NOA for I-485?

3) NOA for I-765?

4) NOA for I-131?

5) Biometrics?

I guess if you have received all of the above that is applicable to your case, then I am not sure what they else they could have sent other than an RFE. I would call them and see what it is that was undeliverable and returned.

I only filed I485 & I765 & received the NOA for both forms in 1 letter. Ok. I'll try to call them today. I'll update you later.

That's all I've had from USCIS - no biometrics appointment letter yet. Is this normal or should I call to follow up?

Looks like your case will be sent to the CSC and it will be adjudicated there, meaning no interview for you--- which is pretty much standard procedure for those AOSing from K1.

I got the NOA for I-765 today in the mail but no NOA for the other forms I submitted concurrently (I-130, I-1485, I-131). I called up USCIS why there is only one NOA. Apparently, while talking to the customer service, i noticed that they made a mistake in my address :( too bad maybe thats the reason the other NOAs didnt get to me. The customer service corrected the address and said that the NOAs will be mailed again. Too bad coz its gonna take Another week or two for the NOAs to arrive. Does it affect or slow the process?

Of course not! Don't stressed out :)

Those are just receipts for you to keep in record,

the immigration officers are still doing whatever they have been doing in their offices.

Thanks i do hope so. What are the odds. I just thought it might make a problem in case the NOAs will be returned to them coz of wrong address (it was their fault though). Im crossing my fingers that the biometrics letter was not yet mailed before i made the correction.
