Ok, so now I'm studying the info on the USCIS website. The I-130 and the I-765 say they are in initial review and they were accepted on May 17th. The I-485 says "fingerprint fee" was accepted on May 18th and it will be processed by the National Benefits Center.

Is that normal?

(I'm sure I've seen someone ask this somewhere else but I can't find it now.)

And the thing about being processed at the National Benefits Center? Yours says that too?

Edit: I see now that all the emails say that, but only the I-485 says it when I check my case status online. I had a little panic when I saw that, like "oh no, they're sending it to the wrong place." :P

Mine stayed in the acceptance phase for the I-485 until last Friday...when I got my interview. My I-130 is still in initial review.

It's all good in the hood! :)

I hope ours will arrive shortly.

Do you guys plant to wait till the scheduled biometrics date or try to do walk-in?

Good luck to you!

The local uscis office, Tampa, says no walk-ins, on their website and in our letter. So I think it would be a waste of time. We will however arrive very early the day of our appointment .

Funny thing though , our check has still not cleared the bank!

Thanks. It was more the "your application will be processed at the National Benefits Center" thing that confused me. I guess I thought it was supposed to go to the local field office or something.

I spent so much time worrying about things like whether or not to staple stuff in the application, I never bothered to figure out what happened to the paperwork AFTER I sent it to Chicago.

Ok, so my package was delivered and signed for on May 11. It's now May 22, and nothing from USCIS at all. No notifications, letters in the mail, cashed checks, nothing at all.

Should I be concerned yet? I'm worried to death that my package has gotten lost in the shuffle or something, especially after seeing folks who sent their package in after me getting notifications.

This is frustrating.

I don't know if you "should" be concerned, but I certainly would be. :(

Have you looked at your fed ex receipt and double checked the address? Maybe it's taking longer because you sent it to the street address rather than the PO Box?

I don't think it's panic time yet, other people haven't heard yet either. Hopefully you hear something by the end of today.
