Hello VJers,

I am having a problem printing the N400 form. The form itself prints correctly, but my typed info. prints out very light, it is legible, but just barely. Is anyone else having the same problem? The printer is ok it prints everything else just fine. If anyone has a solution to this it will be much appreciated. Thanks

Timusa

I had similar problem with my printer a while back too when I was trying to print out documents for my application. It would print some papers OK and others it would not. Turned out to be dried up ink on the printer heads plate. You might need to clean the actual head plate with cotton buds (Q tips) dipped in alcohol.

It could well be something else but it's worth a shot. Otherwise go to a library or a friend's house or other community computer and fill in and print out your forms there. I filled in all my forms by hand then printed them all out at a friend's house as I had no internet at the time I was ready to complete my forms. Good thing too as I had my friend (as well as my husband) check all the forms and we did find a few errors which I had to reprint.

Try cleaning the head plate first. Good luck.

Likely answer:

In Edit -> preferences -> Accessibility

Check on/off "replace document colors"

See color for "document text"
