I have a question, and I hope you all can help me! I am using assets in my trust to qualify for the I-864 for my husband's AOS from F-1, and a lawyer I spoke to briefly said I would need the Trustee to sign affidavit authorizing the distribution of the funds in my trust to me should I have need. I cannot ask the lawyer again, she works for the university here and it takes about a month to get an appointment.

I am ready to send the AOS packet otherwise, and it seems like the original affidavit signed by the trustee is stuck in limbo in the mail system- I know it will come eventually but I don't want to have to wait for it. Can I submit the copy they faxed to me with the notarization, and bring the original to my interview? Has anyone had a similar situation to this?

My understanding is that typically they accept photocopies of just about all documents(save for the medical stuff), so you should be fine as long as you will have the original at the interview.

(Day 27)05/07/2012 Biometrics

(Day 65)06/15/2012 EAD approval email

(Day 69)06/19/2012 Interview notice!!! 07/24/2012!!

(Day 75)06/25/2012 EAD arrives.

(Day 104)07/24/2012 Interview in Atlanta....Approved!!!

Expecting a baby boy 8/9/2013!
