all I am saying is this is just an additional issue that has to be addressed. the less to talk about the better. but like you said it already happen so nothing to do about it now.

Having a child with someone is not suspicious.

The only issue that needs to be addressed here is for him to get his baby a US passport after it is born, and to add one more to the household count on his affidavit of support. There is nothing suspicious about having a child, married yet or not.

The CO is not going to think they are trying to commit immigration fraud because they had a child together. What you keep saying has no logic behind it. It only seems to be full of your own personal opinions towards premarital sex and having a child before a couple is married. Good for the OP that your personal feelings on the matter will have no bearing on their immigration process.

Except that isn't at all what you said. You made a judgment, said it would be 'suspicious' due to the fact that a marriage can only be consumated after the fact.

well it may seem suspicious as marriages are not consumated until after the wedding

Not necessarily true. A lot of people have premarital sex, so that goes out the window. Sex is sex whether you are married or not. You may have moral objections, but a lot of petitioners/beneficaries do it before they are even married.

Well, not to throw my business out there, but I had "premarital sex" with my fiance, and I will continue to have "premarital sex" with my fiance until I marry him and then it will be "post marital sex". He is the man I intend to marry. If I happen to get pregnant before we get married, then it is God's will. We plan to have at least one child anyway.

Warnng! A suspicious individual is about to post!

It happened to us. Hubby is in the military and he was sent away for training when we got a RFE that took a while to send back... Long story short I had our baby back home. We went to the US embassy with the forms and the birth certificate that had my then fiances name as the father. Nothing else. I got his CRBA and US passport just 12 days later. It actually made it less suspicious because having a baby together proves we've met at least once. Thats what the CBP officer said as well when she gave me the I94.

The odds are small but what if fiancee gave birth with our baby oversea while we are still in K-1 process.

Then we'd congratulate the new parents and family. That's all. You would include the child on the DX-156K or whatever form your Embassy uses if you want a K-2 visa issued also.

That is a pretty important event and *may* qualify for an expedite. Try your luck.

Why qualify? For College admission?

I am at the end of the K1 process in this country. Our daughter is now 6 months old and about to accompany me to the US, we registered her birth abroad at the embassy in London. She has a US passport, birth certificate and Social Security number. She is a US citizen and therefore does not need to be included on the K1 petition.

If you are going to go this route though, the US mother/father must be present in the country when being registered as they will be transferring citizenship. You will both have an interview under oath, you'll then be told the outcome and whether citizenship has been granted.

I think its around $200.

No they don't. My friend had her US cit child registered in Australia and the USC father just had to fill in some forms/declarations. He did so all from the US.

I agree with TamsynE. We're also going through the K1 process with my 10 month old daughter. Your child would be proof of an encounter and an ongoing relationship. Just make sure to register the birth in your fiance's country and with the embassy as a birth abroad as a US citizen, get the passport and social security number. I didn't include her in the petition either as she's a US citizen, but you do have to include her in your household to support. Congratulations on the addition to your family! I don't understand the judgement and the 'suspicion' in such a beautiful event. It just takes a bit more paperwork to register the birth but it'll save much more headaches later.
