Hi guys. As you know my husband refused to help me to get a new dependent military ID and I lost mine. So I had to tell his command about it... It was long story. The thing is when me and my friend tried to get it, we found out for sure that I don't have a SSN. Also when we were calling asking for help, people at legal office told us they talked to my husband and me and him are DIVORCED. I was shocked, I didn't know a thing about it. Then command told us he is gonna ask for some proof that we are divorced. But I can't believe it these people just took my husband's word on that, they didn't check. And m and my friend called court and looked online. The information about our divorce nowhere to be found! Is it even possible to divorce somebody like this? I didn't sign ANYTHING and I never ever saw any divorce papers. So that's where we are right now, they wait for him to show the documentation about the divorce. But as I told you guys before he already tricked everybody to believe that we are divorced and that I "don't live with him and the baby". So they gonna check and find out. But husband already called me saying we are not divorced and he will do my ID... Well he screamed first. It was scary.. But then he agreed to do it.

BUT do you thing they will be able to give me another ID if I don't have SSN? I have my passport and marriage certificate only. And I was able to change my ID once when old one got expired. We are still looking for answers how to get that. Because I still need to be able to take the baby to the hospital and also have it for myself, to get legal help and everything. If you have any thoughts please share.

Hehe, good for you. Very happy on this now. He is in a heap of trouble at the military base with his commander and the Military family support. Your case is now going into investigation mode. I definitely would not want to be him now. He falsified records to military personnel. He can make changes without filing documents, however, making false statements... knowingly making false statements is BAD.

I would also suggest getting a small mp3 recorder (pen size). (best buy sells them.) record his rantings and ravings on the mp3 recorder then copy to your laptop. Take and play to the provo office at the base or to the commander. I hope your situation improves, but I think your military id is not "lost". (methinks he misappropriated it from you.)

Also look here: human traffiking

what is human trafficking

Your husband is on the border of human trafficking. Depending on the court, it could be ruled that way. Military court MAY rule that way. He signed a contract with USCIS to be RESPONSIBLE for you. ANY and ALL costs to support you are at HIS expense UNTIL you are a US Citizen. The I-134 or I-864 (but he has probably not signed the I-184) whichever form you submitted during the Embassy interview to get your visa. Also, please note under US Divorce court law, He is also responsible for child support for his son if he divorce's you. In America, there are now "dead beat" dad laws. Which means if he doesn't pay, or make efforts to pay, he goes to jail. By sending you and your son back to Russia, he could be attempting to avoid child support and the laws in affect for child support.

Also contact Kamala D. Harris -- California Attorney General (800) 952-5225 about your situation.

Having a SSN is a useful thing but it's not required. It is NOT a national ID number. You can get health care and legal help without a SSN.

You can't divorce someone without their knowledge.

Good for you for talking to his command. You should do that more often.

No no, I use it, I have a military ID and I can go to hospital. But he is saying to his office that we are divorcing and that he is a single father. So when he takes our son to the appointments I can't go with him because he won't let me appear near the baby, because he is trying to look like a single father. But the funny thing about it is my son has a techer and she comes over and she knows that I'm always here with my son. So I don't think it's gonna work for him.

Hmmm.. how did you get a military ID to begin with? I could not have gotten one unless we were married, and I needed SSN and everything. I could be wrong here, but from what I understand you need to be a spouse to get one, at least that's how it is here.. Just wondering! Goodluck to you and I hope you sort it out, what you are going through is awful!

the more I think on this.... maybe we can get some of our "military" personnel on here to help her out. Find out where this guy is stationed and put him in some remedial boot camp training for a while.... If even a part of what I am reading is true.... half of what I would like to do to him would land me in trouble.... there is a time for talking and a time to go behind the shed ....don't call the old man out unless you really want to... this guy hasn't had his old man put him in his place .... where, oh where, is the "old man"

Have you talked with his parents, his relatives, other family members of his as well?

Hi

yea, I think that everything there is so very very personal. If people didn't check the divorce documentation and already called back saying they sure we are divorced and I can't have my ID that makes me think that these people know him and they never saw me. So they heard his side of the story for YEARS. Of course it sounds weird when I call and say "hi, Im his wife" they like "excuse me, you are nobody, he divorced you" because it was his version the whole time. These people don't know anything, they know his side, which is ... you know how he lies.

So yea, it would be great for me to have somebody there to tell everybody "Come on people, do you still believe all that??? How could he get you all ", but it should be somebody who is in a military and better works at the same office knows me in person and saw with their own eyes who I am and what I do. Or else they won't believe it.

I talked to his family, his mom knows how he is, she told me long time ago that he is the most ungrateful person in the world and she is trying to stay away from him as much as possible, and she also said that he is extremely angry and that he needs treatment for his anger.

Thanks for the links everybody, Im looking at them now..

You can't divorce someone without their knowledge.

yep you can. it's stupid but there is a method where if you claim you don't know where they live you put a notice in the paper in the area you last knew they lived and if the court believes you tried everything to tell them about the divorce then they'll do the divorce without you. I doubt he did it. i doubt he filed but it would be interesting to know how they just accepted his word without a copy of the decree. There's probably so many spousal payments that you were denied, and medical benefits because of his lies. I suggest you look into that as well.

Hi

I got my new military ID! They gave it to me without husband but just for 30 days, but it's fine, it has the same power. And also the people from legal office called back my friend telling that yes, they checked for sure and yes, I am his wife and we didn't get divorce. How funny is that... I almost believed he divorced me.

Now he is scaring me that if I show up at his office security, JAG and chain of command will wait for me to get me :) I don't know what exactly they going to get me for but I assume for the fact that I said that I am his wife and I 'm here. Also he told me he is calling CPS on me because I stole his child. So.... I ignored this message, but just word CPS makes me shake. Anyway...what else i can do. I'm not giving him my baby just because he wants to cover his ####. It's not because I don't want my son to see his dad, no, I would like him to see his dad.

Try www.military.com forum http://forums.military.com/eve/forums/a/cfrm/f/377197221 > this one is for military life, spouse and community - they should be able to guide you with who to contact and how to get you some phone numbers of people who can help out (family office, legal, JAG).

What husband says is not true - JAG and others he mentioned can't touch you, but to be sure, never go there alone - always have a friend with you so they can corroborate what went on so it is not he said - she said.

None of that is true. My wife was added to my bank account two days after she arrived as a K-1 and YOU are the one that MUST file the papers, not him. He CANNOT file the adjustment of status. I did all the paperwork for my wife, but she signed it. She could have done it without me.

He DOES need to provide an affidavit of support. You have been told wrong things. Why? By whom? For what reason?

By not getting your permanent residency you are not receiving the full benefit of living here and delaying your eventual citizenship, Your husband should PROTECT you by getting these things done immediately, or as soon as possible, or helping you to get them done.

This is not really true. Without her husband signing forms G-28, G-325A, I-864, Murysa's application for her adjustment of status is not completed. I don't know how your wife got a bank account here just two days after her arrival. I guess Murysa doesn't have a SSN yet either.

That happens, the US citizen spouse takes control of the foreign spouse by refusing to file or delaying filing the paperwork, which they are supposed to do.
