This does not seem like the reply you would receive for a standard background check. If you read through the embassy/consulate reviews for India, you will find a few instances where the embassy called the beneficiaries family and I believe even visited his home in two separate cases.

They may be attempting to verify your marriage certificate or if either of you have been married before, that your divorce is valid.

Provide a list of the evidence that you provided and the questions your spouse was asked at the interview as well as whatever biographic data you feel comfortable sharing (religious differences, ethnicity differences, age differences etc.)and VJ may be able to offer better advice.

Sounds like something is up with your relationship - do you have any red flags [older female, mixed race, mixed religion, former marriages, kids out of wedlock, or married within your own family]?

I have never seen the phrase "attempting to independently verify certain information presented by you at the time of your interview" ever come out of Delhi....

Did any of your paperwork look dodgy even by Indian standards?

What were the questions asked at your interview?

no we don't have any red flag. my husband don't have previous marriage or anything like that. even he is older then me 3 years only

Are you from a smaller area where paperwork may look "less official" than the larger metros' versions of the same documents?

You really have been in AP for an extended period of time for Delhi, the exception being name checks which can take longer and typically hit Muslim men.

Something hit a nerve with the CO and it appears they are trying to find something out.

our marriage is original even i send to NVC my original marriage certificate. we are from same religious, he is older then me 3 year.

its like more than 1 week ago i haven't hear anything from congresswomen.

before that i contact senator she did not response me back same thing happen with congresswomen.

my brain is out of control i don't know what to do? :blink:

no one involved in my case means senator or congressman.

i visited in embassy on june 5th..on june 8th they send us letter ask for new medical. we send it back on june 14th.

on june 25th send us letter ask for new passport clearance send it back on july 10th.

on july 16th recived message today he collect his courier he got his visa.

we are so happy. going to USA in next week.. yayyyyyyyy :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:
