Not sure if this is the correct forum or not, as E-2 is investment visa that allows a person to work in US, and did not see this type of visa listed in any other forums

I have a friend that has received her E-2 dependent visa already (husband is foreign national who own a restaurant in US), but she had a question about when she must enter into the US without loosing her visa.

Her visa expires 27 July and she has been told by 2 of her friends that she must enter the US 2 weeks prior to the visa expiring, but to me that does not make any sense?

While It makes complete sense that you must enter before the visa expires, I would of thought that even if you arrived 1 day before the visa expired that should be fine, as the visa is not expired?

Anyone know the the real regulations on this?
