Hey Everyone,

So here is my situation,

Last year I met a young lady from the US. My Job required a lot of Can to US travel so it made our long distance relationship easier. After a year of king distance we both decided that getting married and me mock g to the US was the best situation for both of us.

Feb 17th I flew to the US for for work with no intention of staying and after consulting with an attorney about our situation he recommended that I stay in the US, get married and file for an adjustment of status. Since my initial reason was visiting the US for work he said everything would be fine.

The initial steps have began. I received and completed my biometrics appointment and am waiting to receive my temporary work visa.

Does this mean that I am in the clear and able to wait a month or so for my card?? What can I expect next?

Thanks for the help people!

You should read some other posts. You have a required interview.

You don't get a work visa you get an EAD card which allows you to work until your GC is approved.

I will move this to the correct forum section for you which is adjustment of status from work/tourist/student.
