hi everyone

Me and my fiance'e are getting married within the next few weeks and then filing for my AOS. From what I understand we file for AOS and EAD along with it because i really would like to work asap. Within the filing the AOS and EAD im supposed to go to a biometrics am I right?. Im curious where im supposed to go for my biometrics AND my AOS interview later on. Me and my fiance live in west virginia, and when we filed for our k-1 everything was sent to vermont. I know our AOS will be sent somewhere different, but overall judging from where we are filing from for AOS, where am I going to have to go for my biometrics and interview? we are just worried about having to travel far for them both or if we have to go to a different state or something like that.

please let me know! thank you! :)

You will receive a letter telling you where to go for biometrics and once you've done that you'll receive another letter telling you where to go for your interview.

When we lived in California we had to travel over 3 hours drive to get to Fresno for my interviews.

Now we're in Washington state our nearest city is still over 2 hours away. I go for biometrics tomorrow and it's almost 3 hours drive but we make a day of it and go shopping while we're there.

I just go where and when I'm told to go. :innocent:

Your AOS and biometrics should be relatively close to you. Nothing you would have to do serious traveling for.

Use this page from the USCIS site to find the local office(s) >>>> https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=LO

The EAD will likely not be instantaneous. Prepare to wait a month or two at least.
