Hello everyone,

2 months of waiting after the first interview, I got a letter stating that I have to attend a second one. My first interview was fine but for no reason we have to attend the second one. Any advice would be appreciated. What documents shall I add to the ones I already took to the first interview?

I am sure it is not for no reason.

Perhaps you could tell us more about the first one and what you brough etc...

Can't really tell you what additional info to bring if we don't know what you brout the first time...

Sorry but that still gives very little information about what went on after she 'started digging'.

All I can tell is that you had a red flag that put her on alert in that you claim to drive but are knowingingly breaking the law by not having insurance...this kind of thing speaks to character.

After that you are very vague about what happened.

You also don't mention any financial ties....can you list in entirety what you brought in addition to a more thorough explanation of the proceedings? Only then could people here even begin to help...

Being added to the insurance coverage is a standard thing that married couples do. Plus, it could be a serious financial problem if you wrecked the car without being covered. So that likely raised a red flag with the interviewer. They are doubting the bona fide nature of your marriage. Did you have joint bank accounts? Without knowing the entirety of what was covered in the interview it is hard to offer an opinion.

Stokes interviews are serious business. You will be interviewed separately and then your interviews compared. You should be prepared to answer about the entirety of your relationship. Nothing will be off limits, so if the questions get very personal (sex life for example) do not get indignant.

I asked to add my husband to my car insurance and was told no. They said call back when he's got a California driver's license. He can't get that without a SSN. I don't know how we're supposed to add spouses to all these things when they don't have a SSN. Doesn't make sense to me.

I added my husband before he even got to the country - I wanted the "married" status discount. In order to do that, I had to add him as a non-driver or non-resident family member.

I did the same thing. He is listed as Non residental, non driver spouse. I have Progressive. Ahn Map said it right. They will ask about ANYTHING, so be prepared. Good luck

My husband is still in Morocco and he is listed on my insurance as a non driver. It was easy to do and they did it without question.

I agree with Anh map. I had a stokes interview too and it's no joke. I would suggest getting a lawyer if you can afford one.

In the state of New Hampshire car insurance is only a requirement if you have a loan/lease on the car,and only because the banks require it, or if you are under the age of 25.

I dont understand why they want a stokes interview because of car ins.? is that what Im reading right? That doesnt make sense to me at all. Unless there was something else that went on?
