I was just checking on the April Filers' page. There are several people who are now US Citizens whose online status is still "In line for interview scheduling" so it seems that the USCIS does not update the online status very often.

I called them a couple of days ago just to make sure I am sill in line for interview scheduling and not scheduled for interview with the letter missing on the way. Yep, still in line...

If you talked with the customer representative that answers first, they see/access what you read online. It is better if you talk with a second-tier representative, you can ask to be transferred. My online status still says in line for interview scheduling. When I last called USCIS, the first-tier representative said I am in line for interview scheduling, while the second-tier customer representative, after being transferred, mentioned that I was scheduled for interview, was kind and even told me when is my interview date. The letter came in shortly thereafter.

Hi All,

I passed my interview today. I got 6 out of 6 questions. They're the following:

1) Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?

2) Who is the Commander-In-Chief of the military?

3) What are the two major political parties in the US?

4) What is the political party of the President now?

5) Name one state that borders Mexico?

6) Name three of the 13 original states.

PRAISE GOD!!! I'll be waiting for my Oath Taking Ceremony.

yes, i talked to the second-tier rep. i will call them next week again, not to worry. now it seems that it is mostly us, new yorkers, still waiting in line... (except for Jamaican JNR who already got int. letter.)

I had my interview yesterday at the San Diego downtown office. I was married in September 2006 and divorced in June 2010. I had applied based on the 5 year rule. I have no children, tickets, or any anomalies. The interviewer kept prodding my past marriage and writing what I said directly on my form such as argued a lot and did not get along (he would say it out loud as he wrote things). He would try to trick me constantly by saying things such as so was she unfaithful or were you? He pretended to write and said out loud after 2 months of the marriage things were sour (I had previously said 3 years)? Did you fight about finances? Who do you live with now? Do you have a girlfriend? What does she do? The questions went on and on. The questions were bizarre and he kept grilling me in an annoying manner to prove my marriage was fraud. Apparently not having children is weird. I married young at the age of 22 so children weren't in the books. He again asked me about infidelity. At this point I snapped at him and let him know how I felt. To which he replied that if I go on the offense he can make things really bad for me. I told him I was on the defense and I think he got the message because the marital questions ended there. He said that he's doing his job and I should appreciate that they do fraud checks and don't just hand out citizenship. I was approved in the end and I apologized to him about my outburst and left. I still feel as though all of this was excessive and unnecessary creating a negative experience for a day that otherwise was delightful.

sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience. having divorced my husband after five years of marriage due to his infidelity, i expect to experience similar "grilling".

It wouldn't make any difference anyway for New York voters, the state legislature fixes the electoral districts so that incumbents always win, and New York always votes Democrat in the Presidential and Senate races. Why would he waste political capital getting more NYers to vote for him?

It sure would.. since the orders are NOT going to be for any specific state but for all of 'em. this would include right-wing or the red states where he needs the support

Hello everyone, finally I got my interview letter yesterday, will take place on Sep 20th. Btw, my status in the uscis website hasn't changed, nor I received a txt msg or email notification. Will keep all of you posted if something changes.

My wife has received her int letter this weekend and the its scheduled for Sept 18th int date after almost 3 months from fp date but I'm happy that the process is at least moving even at this slow pace
