I guess it depends where you live, really. I think the waiting time in line for interview scheduling is longer in NYC than many other places. While some folks get their interview letters a week or two after fingerprinting, people from NYC should expect to wait at least a month to two months. BTW, where do you live?

Maryland... Hopefully next week. If not, should I call?

I think you should look through the posts of filers in preceding months (Jan, Feb, March, etc). Perhaps there are some folks from Maryland, which would give you a point of reference. If the difference in your individual waiting times is substantial, do call USCIS. Otherwise, take a deep breath and allow yourself some patience ; )

On July 30, 2012, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a written notice with a time and place for your interview. Please check the website for further updates on your case. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address... Cant wait for this to be over :)

Hi all,

I have been in line for interview scheduling since July 9, 2012. Does anyone know if this is normal? It is it worthwhile to contact USCIS now? I did FP on June 21, 2012 in Houston.

Hi Humz00...it's pretty normal in Houston, so don't worry. I did FP in Houston on June 13th and was placed in line for interview scheduling on June 15th. It was a about month before I was actually scheduled for an interview...the interview letter arrived on July 20th...my interview is on August 23rd.

07/17/2012 - Biometrics appointment

06/29/2012 - Early Biometrics

07/27/2012 - Placed inline for scheduling interview

10/09/2012 - Text recieved, scheduled for interview

10/13/2012 - Interview letter recieved in the mail

11/15/2012 - Interview

11/21/2012 - Oath and Finally a US Citizen :)
