It's taking up to 4 weeks for case numbers to be assigned once NVC has received your case. Hopefully you'll both get your case numbers in the next week or so. Hang in there and keep calling NVC once a day to ask!

One quick question : Who give you your POE ( port of Entry )? My wife lives in NJ 15 minutes from the Newark Liberty airport ( EWR), SO will my POE be Newark Airport?

The person that buys the airticket decides on the POE.

I never received an email but called this morning after your reply(last night they said they hadn't received it yet) and I was missing a Packet 3 supplemental information sheet for Guangzhou. A little frustrating since I specifically had the lawyer double-check the documentation.

That doc is listed here:

NVC EP - http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing

there's a d/l link, in case you can't find it on the DoS website.

Its better if its a female nurse otherwise my husband would say we dont need a medical exam and she is going to stay in canada and im goving too.

so ask for a female ;)

What is the main cause if a " Check list" ? been looking at ppl timelines n it seems like nvc hands them out like freshly baked cookies.

1. falsely sent out because of timing issues with nvc or

2. nvc find something missing

is similar to RFE with USCIS.

OK, I woke up today late, long story, I lost my job on Friday, Things are not going well with the wife either, life seems to be at its lowest point right now. But today I guess there was some positivity. I got an email back after my NVC inquiry. They sent me the AOS Invoice and the choice of agent form. I was happy to finally receive my NVC case number. I first sent the opt in email for the electronic processing. Next I paid the AOS fee. I then printed out my AOS Document coversheet and was now going to email my AOS package. But I remember I should wait for the opt in email to be accepted first? I did receive the auto response. I then went to the forms portal and filled out the Choice of Agent form. What is the next step, wait for EP to be accepted? Everything is happening at once!

waiting on AOS fee bill to be generated is a hook for GUZ filers, IMO.

You already have the AOS Fee Bill in yer email, so yer past the time tick, regardless

and

you have other things to do, study all at http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_for_Montreal_Beneficiaries_–_Electronic_Processing_and_New_Online_Forms

hey guys... just a quick question. So my AOS says paid. Do I have to wait for an email confirmation that my DS-3032 was accepted? I want to send off the AOS package, so just wanted to know if I have to wait for some sort of email to show that they accepted the ds-3032.

Thank you :)

ds-3032 and AOS are not connected.

DS-3032 and IV are connected.

Looking forward to hearing the good news!

My case was complete within 3 days of NVC receiving my IV packet. I figure 5 days is a safe ballpark. What documents do you think you're gonna need when you go on vacation? Once your case is complete it's really a matter of your interview being scheduled... unless I'm missing something...

I don't knw what I might need I guess I'm over thinking it, ure not missing nething its just me trying to be over prepared. Seems like 2 week will be long enuff to get a case complete. Thx for replying.

I'm bringing passport, 3 us sized passport pics, my $300 money order, my vaccination records, my letter from the doctor stating that i'm in good health, my interview letter from the consulate, whatever other ID I have in my purse. Yes, they check to make sure you're a girl - they're not going to give you a full exam, but they need to take a peek. They bring a female nurse in for this, I believe.

When I had my medical at Medisys, my female parts were NOT checked.

OK, I woke up today late, long story, I lost my job on Friday, Things are not going well with the wife either, life seems to be at its lowest point right now. Grats on finally getting your case number.

Wait until the AOS is showing up as PAID before you send it. It's only been taking a day or two for the optin email to be accepted now.

Reposting my questions..

Our AOS fee is "in process" now. But I'd like to clarify some points so we could get our AOS packages ready.

1. We only pay once for both mine and my daughter's AOS fee, right? But we have separate barcoded cover pages?

2. We send in a complete package for each of us - so for my AOS package: petitioner's i-864 and supporting docs and co-sponsor's i-864 and supporting docs; and for our daughter's: petitioner's i-864W and supporting docs and co-sponsor's i-864 and supporting docs

3. My husband should fill out an i-864W for our daughter, right? She's his biological child but my husband isn't qualified to pass on citizenship, hence the visa process. But I think she'll become a USC upon entry under the Child Citizenship Act?

Thanks guys. Just want to make sure everything is 10000% correct.

Saylin: I see in your timeline you POE'd on 5/12/11 which is almost a year ago (btw congrats on your upcoming first anniversary)... now further down you put "elegible for ROC" which I'm assuming means "Removal of conditions" on 2/11/13 which is about 21 months later. Two years minus 3 months because you can request ROC 3 months prior to your Second Anniversary.

Now I wasn't sure at which point you are suppossed to start counting the 2 years, if it wasn't from Visa approval day or from POE ... so I guess you start counting your 2 years for elegibility for ROC from the time you enter the States for the first time (POE).

Is this correct?

No celebrations for me about POE or anniversary...

Yes, ROC means removal of conditions. It's done 90 days before your green card expires, which is 2 years from your POE date.

Hmm, I called just now. The operator said they have an e-mail address on file. Is this possible even though I haven't given out any e-mail addresses yet? She couldn't tell me what the address was though since I'm not the petitioner.

Even if you're the petitioner, that means nothing. I was the beneficiary and the only one to call NVC. I was able to do everything (get numbers, give email addresses, etc).

Saylin & Shell im so glad my case arrived at montreal this morning 10.47 am waiting for to sign by consulate as per DHL tracking.. :D
