Rujby - there's a school of thought here at VJ to bring

1. exact copies of everything submitted and

2. exact originals of everything submitted

to the interview appointment. Things not signed not fit either category.

Ask your wife to recreate stuff for you, mail to you. YOU can handle the IV set.

in the end, this is done for 'just in case' scenario, where something was lost at uscis and/or nvc. YOU having it on INTERVIEW DAY is a bonus, as it negates the issuance of a 221G requesting documents. If you have the documents in your hand on interview day, and you NEED them because they fell out of the casefile prior - well, you got the problem solved on INTERVIEW DAY and in real time.

if your wife made copies of everything prior to sending, then she can make more copies of what she prepared, and send to you.

I don't wish to cause you unneeded fret here, but the majority of folk rely on USCIS and NVC to not lose anything that's in the casefile. The base assumption? I sent it already, you (Fed Gov) have it, it's on you (Fed Gov) to not lose anything.

Hypothetically, everything submitted to uscis and nvc is in the casefile at the embassy iv unit.

Having the entire casefile copy is a backup for the beneficiary, for that 'just in case' scenario. Nothing more.

If this stuff can be recreated, great. If not, I say don't fret about it.

What you SHOULD focus on, IMO, is the evidence pile. That's something that you and your wife can work on, between now and the interview date. See, the whole point of the evidence pile? A married couple would be generating more evidence since filing the I-130, as they are somehow 'living a life' even though it's far apart. Study the I-130 instructions again, those 6 times of evidence, and create/recreate from day 0 to the day prior to the interview. Then make some index, aye?

OK the mistake we made is that we didn't make copy of the I-130 and G 325 with her signature. I am the on that is going to attend the interview my self. I am reading and reading all the form that we filled, from I-130 until the NVC ones

Hmm, I called just now. The operator said they have an e-mail address on file. Is this possible even though I haven't given out any e-mail addresses yet? She couldn't tell me what the address was though since I'm not the petitioner.

I don't know if my husband submitted the G-1125 along with our I-130. I asked the operator how we were going to receive invoices and instructions from them, and she answered they'll email it within this week. I asked if they have a record of our e-mail adds, she said yes but wouldn't tell me what they have.

So, does this mean I won't have to give our email addresses? Or do I have to let my husband call them?

have the husband call and specifically ask for the AOS FEE BILL to be emailed to him.

it varies. anywhere from 2 days to 3 weeks.

I called yesterday and found out. I guess the second page of the scan my lawyer sent did go through, she also didnt send the passport photos. She sent the missing page yesterday but the passport photos are in the mail right now (she mailed them back to us for the interview) so i have to wait until we get them to send those in.

Thanks for the reply, did you get an email stating they reviewed your case? I called last night and they said they hadn't processed my case yet. Is it possible to scan your passport photos and save some time? Good luck to you, hope you get stuff worked out soon!

Scratch that, I realize you mailed in your application, not email.
