Yes attach a letter explaining why you did not file taxes.

Take your check stubs, average them out for the past 5 months. Then multiply by 12, that will give you an idea of your current income. so for questions 23 and 24 put that guesstimate in the blanks.

Example all your check stubs equal $6,000.00 divide by 5= $1,200.00 monthly times 12= $14,400.00 annual income.

To add your mother, put in her annual income from her tax forms and what she currently makes. She will then fill out the I-864a. Include her tax return or transcript and your letter stating the reason for not filing taxes.

With the combined incomes over 200k a year, you have the poverty line issue covered, unless there's 15 other people living in the house.

HAHA.. it is just her and I in the household (when my husband comes it will be 3) and thank you... you have been very precise with your instructions.

Got an email today from the NVC !! I couldn't opened the email but I called them and they advise that we have an interview date June 26 at 1:00 pm , they're going to resend the email ! I'm so happy!!!!!!!!

hey guys... so I am gathering all the documents. should I send in the DS-3032 email now and also pay the IV bill now? Or do I wait for the acceptance of the DS-3032 email?

Nope, for an IR-1/CR-1, you're done with packets after you send them to NVC. Just the medical and interview left yes.gif

Another question:

I recently graduated and started working (independent contractor, so I am self-employed) from the beginning of this year. I have never filed taxes, so for question 25 on i-864, do I just leave this blank? Also, I am assuming I will need to attach a letter explaining why I have never filed taxes.

Next... because I have not worked a full year and each pay stub per week is slightly different, do I just average my annual income?

My mother and I live together and our household income comes up to around $200,000, when I average out my annual income so we are above the poverty line. I just feel that it is a guessing game when it comes to my annual income. Not really sure what to do.

Even if you have never filed taxes, you still have to fill out every single question on the I-864 or you'll get a checklist for not filling it out. In your case, just put zeros for question 25.

Neela answered already. Hi All

Apologies in advance for this long post. Congrats to all who recieved an interview date this week - very exciting. I have just recieved and paid both invoices ($88 and $230) and I will send both packages out together as soon as I recieve my replacement marriage certificate (as I lost the original). Can someone please check what I plan on including in my packets to make sure I have thought of everything - see below.

In addition to this, on the I864 form - how is question one supposed to be completed if you have a joint sponsor? Does my husband tick the box saying he is the petition plus the first joint sponsor, and then my joint sponsor just ticks the box stating she is the second joint? The reason I am confused is there a box saying "i am the only joint sponsor'? please help with this.

Here is what I have ready to send (oh I should mention we have both been married before and we both reside together in Australia, so we have to prove re-establishment of domicile and also current liquid assets - altough our joint sponsor earns enough to cover us all).

We have everything booked for Montreal. Our hotel is just steps from a Metro Station. The hotel we are staying at charges $25 a day parking... So we figure if we need to rent a car we will for a day.

How much your hotel cost per day? we find a hotel $100/day didnt book it yet.

We booked through travelocity and got a room for 10 days and round trip flights for $2500.00

USCIS- 260 Days

6/8/11~ Mailed I-130 Application, withdrew Canadian PR application
6/16/11~ NOA1 email and text message Case routed to CSC (Priority Date)
7/12/11~ The 'Money Order' Incident/Returned to Tennessee
8/03/11~ TOUCHED!
3/2/12~ APPROVED! NOA2!

NVC Electronic Processing- Montreal- 19 Days

3/21/12~ Received case number & IIN 20 Days after NOA2
3/21/12~ Sent in opt-in email
3/22/12~ Opt-in accepted
3/23/12~ DS-261 Submitted, never accepted
3/29/12~ AOS bill invoiced and paid

if yer on a budget, please consider the youth hostels close to the train stations.

For two round trip flights from Calgary and 10 days in a four star hotel.. no, that's pretty cheap.
