Good morning people how r u?

I've been better....

Hi all! I have just got home from my interview at the embassy in London, and we're approved!!!

The immigration guy did say that I wouldn't be able to work on the CR-1 until I had employment authorization though. Is that true??? Saylin? I was under the impression that I could work as soon as the visa was stamped at the border, and I had my SSN

Grats! kicking.gif

I think he might have been confused with the K1 process. There's no employment authorization on a CR-1. Like you're thinking, you can work as soon as you get a SSN with the stamp in your passport next to the visa acting as a temporary green card.

do you guys know how long it takes fr the IV bill to appear, after the AOS bill is paid for and the packet is sent? the operator said 20days, but thats their number of days for everything, lol :bonk:

Remember, the IV bill has NOTHING to do with the AOS bill or package. They're too separate tracks! The IV bill gets invoiced a few days after the DS-3032 has been accepted. Have you sent the email yet?

There was so much going on here yesterday that i couldn't keep up with everybody so congrats to everyone with interviews and case completes and everything else.

Our house is now officially sold. Which makes me sad.

Grats!

Husband sent me his tax papers and some signed documents that I will need for the baby, we managed to sort her am passport out at the same time as we have our interview. He went to the ups to have it sent a while back, now 10 days later we started to wonder what happend to it. It turned out that my mail is go India! Stuck at customs! Hubby went back to ups trying to figure out why and how. It turned out that ups has sent our mail with usps and by accident sent it to india.. Now they are gonna try and get the it back for us even though the lady at ups wasn't sure on how! Sigh!

#######... blink.gif To India?! Like others have said, I really hope they refund you. And most importantly, fix their mistake PRONTO. Good luck...

I got a call from my Congressman's Immigration person this morning. He called to tell us congratulations and good luck with the interview. He's been keeping track of our case since our NOA2. He also said that once Mr. Sheeshka is approved Congressman Roe will be sending him a letter welcoming him to Tennessee. I thought that was very nice. (and I'm sure a wonderful gesture during the election year.)

How nice of him. I hope you vote for him for what he's done :P

Saylin, a quick question. My husband has filed an extension for 2011 tax returns as he wants to file as married. He's sent me a copy of the extension, his w2, as well as a letter explaining why. Is that enough?

Yup, that should be good enough. Make sure to bring your tax information from the previous years though.

IV Packet.

I know you guys say to have someone review your packet befor you send it out but i dont have ne one to do that, the people around me have no idea. So i need your help. Im geting the IV pacet ready so when it's time to send it i can just attach the barcoded cover sheet and send.

8. No divorce decree cus hubby was never married.

9. Police Certificaste Clarance (only 1 he only lived in one place all his life)

DO i have every thing?

How do I address the envelope to NVC?

I hope to complete this IV step in 3 weeks

Thank you in advance.

Remember, the first page in your IV package has to be the bar-coded cover sheet from the payment portal. And then your own cover letter, etc.

As for the address, it's on the bar-coded cover sheet yes.gif

We received our case# today. Now how long does it take to get the email from them?

Grats! kicking.gif

For us, it took I think 3 days to get the initial information package email. Although, we had all the information already, so we weren't anxiously awaiting it or anything.

Did you get the IIN from an operator? Did you give over both email addresses? Have you emailed the DS-3032 yet?

Well everything is now paid and mailed out, hopefully will get a case closed by next week.

Oh Saylin the payment went through just fine with my name and her account information.

Thanks for all the help. I hope I didn't miss the June window as yet for interviews.

Glad it wasn't a problem! I guess as long as they got the money, NVC didn't care :P

   there are not enough emotions. i am going to cry!!!! got my interview, finally. done freaking out!!! June 14th 8am!!!

Seems like this has beeen an amazing week for us all!!

Grats! kicking.gif

Hello Everyone, can a case at NVC be expedited?

Yup, most definitely. As long as you have a valid reason.
