There was so much going on here yesterday that i couldn't keep up with everybody so congrats to everyone with interviews and case completes and everything else.

Our house is now officially sold. Which makes me sad.

hmm, yes, maybe I'm reading it wrong, but from what it seems, everyone else already had their dates assigned. And 3 that were waiting for their interview since February haven't been on the site, so I'm assuming they already had their interviews. This is making me so worried and anxious. :hehe:

USCIS:

11/17/2010 - filed for I-130

10/06/2011 - I130 Interview (Approved)

11/07/2011 - I130 Approval Receieved in the mail, transferring to NVC

NVC:

12/08/2011 - Case arrived at the NVC office

02/03/2012 - AOS bill invoiced and paid

03/21/2012 - all packets + documents arrive at NVC for review

03/30/2012 - receive checklist for 1 missing document

04/20/2012 - Case Closed!

05/04/2012 - interview date given

06/14/2012 - interview date. Moscow

Congratulations on the house sale, even though it makes you sad - it's a step forward...

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png
06/09/2012 - POE @ YWG (Winnipeg Int'l Airport)

Removal of Conditions submitted March 24, 2014, received March 26, 2014

"RFE" for page 3 of application received, date March 27, 2014. Package re-submitted with all papers re-attached.

04/07/2014 - NOA1 Date

05/07/2014 - Biometrics in Charlotte, NC

11/05/2014 - APPROVED! Citizenship in 5 months!

Husband sent me his tax papers and some signed documents that I will need for the baby, we managed to sort her am passport out at the same time as we have our interview. He went to the ups to have it sent a while back, now 10 days later we started to wonder what happend to it. It turned out that my mail is go India! Stuck at customs! Hubby went back to ups trying to figure out why and how. It turned out that ups has sent our mail with usps and by accident sent it to india.. Now they are gonna try and get the it back for us even though the lady at ups wasn't sure on how! Sigh!

While using the VJ time lines are a wonderful tool, people do not fill them out completely. They get to the interview stage and dump us like a hot potato. You'll drive yourself insane trying to pin point a date for your interview. The only sure way of having some kind of control over this process we have no control over, is to call NVC and DoS everyday to see if you have an interview.

It's a huge adjustment. So much changes when we finish the interview and finally POE...it's what we've been waiting for and yet...it's the unknown, and we've just left behind what we knew for our whole lives.

I got a call from my Congressman's Immigration person this morning. He called to tell us congratulations and good luck with the interview. He's been keeping track of our case since our NOA2. He also said that once Mr. Sheeshka is approved Congressman Roe will be sending him a letter welcoming him to Tennessee. I thought that was very nice. (and I'm sure a wonderful gesture during the election year.)

It's a huge adjustment. So much changes when we finish the interview and finally POE...it's what we've been waiting for and yet...it's the unknown, and we've just left behind what we knew for our whole lives.

it's the third time I've done this. UK to US, US to Canada and now back to US so I'm used to it sorta.... and hubby is so happy and loves his new job. And it's good that kiddo is growing up and staying here. :(

It was sent to India?! :wow: That is a HUGE misdirection! I hope they get it sent correctly IMMEDIATELY and refund the money it cost to send it. Unbelievable!! Hubby and I are hugely skeptical of both USPS and Canada Post. We've sent things to one another that just never show up by regular mail. Frustrating to hear that they also screw up when it's supposed to be UPS and trackable.
