First, can you please update your signature? It helps everyone :)

And second, don't compare yourself to those in here that got interview dates. It differs by country the length of time you wait. Check out other members' timelines going through your country.

Ooops, updated it in the official timeline but not in my signature. But when I looked up similar time lines or even those in Russia .. it told me it was only me and one other person. Makes no sense.

Saylin -

Sorry, my hubby is usually the poster of our information! Since I didn't have to call the NVC today.....guess I was needing something to do, so I logged on. LOL

I thought this was on our timeline....here is what I have:

NVC received our case on 4/5 and we got our LND number 4/16. We paid our AOS on 4/21 and I think the rest of the info is on our timeline. If you need anything else, let me know. Glad to be part of the May crew!

Thanks again!

There's no spot on the timeline for case number being assigned. Anyways, thanks, updated the spreadsheet :)

No specific way per se. (hehe that rhymes!) anyway, barcode cover sheet first of course, followed by my personal cover sheet. Next was the I-864, then my IRS transcripts (2010, 09, and 08), followed by my employment letter. Then my year-to-date pay summaries for 2012 and 2011. Then 3 random paystubs from 2012.

I wrote my NVC case number on the top right corner of every page EXCEPT for the 2 cover sheets. (The wonderful Saylin's advice.) Didn't staple anything. I paper clipped the I-864 together, the 3 tax transcripts to each other, the 2 pay summaries together, and another paperclip on my 3 paystubs. Other than that I just kept things in the order listed above which was the order I had them listed on my cover sheet.

Good luck and have another person check your i864, especially with the numbers on there to the right numbers shown on the transcripts and employment letter.

Hope this helps. :)

thank you so much i sent in my packet today :)

if it's after your 2 year anniversary, you'll have a nice surprise!

Guys,

I have a question, think i made an error. I am paying my IV invoice from my sisters bank account, is it her name that I should have used or my name??

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I've got all of mine still. I'm never gonna throw them out laughing.gif

I think technically though, it might just be 10 years? Not sure.

I know that it's technically 7 years, but I wasn't sure if that was 7 years of INTERNATIONAL data or just for the country you live in. Thanks - it should all fit in my stuff, regardless :)

Apparently it's 6 years: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/tpcs/ncm-tx/kpng/menu-eng.html But, I would suggest keeping it for that long for Canada then destroy it if you wish. Or scan them first, keep them saved on your computer, then destroy the physical files.

I think I'd just been keeping 7 years of stuff automatically...so that's all I have on me :) Making my shred pile and my save pile...fun!:no:
