People here is the message i just got from my email :"An immigrant visa interview has been scheduled for the applicant at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in

PORT AU PRINCE on June 12, 2012 at 08:00 am.

Well, there ya go. That's a piece of the interview appointment letter. Print it out, bring it with you to the IV unit, or they won't let you in.

Whew! Yer Done ! Congratulations.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Hey guys... question :)

I received my case number today!! yayyy and well I asked for the IIN and they said they didnt have it as yet. So what do I do now?

call every day till you get it, and whilst ya got 'them' on the phone, as for the AOS fee bill to be sent to the Petitioner's email address. (That keeps them on their toes, btw)

For your AOS package, was there any specific way that you assembled it? like stapled the pages, or put your case number on each page? :whistle:

No specific way per se. (hehe that rhymes!) anyway, barcode cover sheet first of course, followed by my personal cover sheet. Next was the I-864, then my IRS transcripts (2010, 09, and 08), followed by my employment letter. Then my year-to-date pay summaries for 2012 and 2011. Then 3 random paystubs from 2012.

I wrote my NVC case number on the top right corner of every page EXCEPT for the 2 cover sheets. (The wonderful Saylin's advice.) Didn't staple anything. I paper clipped the I-864 together, the 3 tax transcripts to each other, the 2 pay summaries together, and another paperclip on my 3 paystubs. Other than that I just kept things in the order listed above which was the order I had them listed on my cover sheet.

Good luck and have another person check your i864, especially with the numbers on there to the right numbers shown on the transcripts and employment letter.

More exciting news!

Yesterday we opted in for electronic processing, and received our approval to do so the same night :)

Then this morning, our AOS bill was ready to be paid, so we did, and we submitted our DS-261.

Things are finally happening! :D

Here's the latest...

DS 3032 has been emailed TWICE. First time was when we received the initial email with the AOS bill. Got an auto response.

Then I called NVC and was told to email again, so we did. Received another auto response and another email (which I posted yesterday, but didn't look like an acceptance email.)

We then received an email with a checklist for the DS 3032. Sent that in by postal mail with a barcoded sheet that was in the email.

I call this morning and the operator tells me, it hasn't been generated, he will send to supervisor to generate.

Confused :unsure:

I don't think you're looking hard enough, cause you've been on there for weeks now...

I do not suggest staples ever for this process. Use paperclips. And put your case number on the top right of all pages, except the bar-coded cover sheet and the cover letter (if you include one).

This was my order for the AOS package:

  • bar-coded cover sheet
  • cover letter
  • I-864EZ
  • 2007, 2008, 2009 tax transcripts
  • employment letter
  • pay stubs

I paper clipped the I-864 together, the 3 tax transcripts to each other, the 2 pay summaries together, and another paperclip on my 3 paystubs. Other than that I just kept things in the order listed above which was the order I had them listed on my cover sheet.

Good luck and have another person check your i864, especially with the numbers on there to the right numbers shown on the transcripts and employment letter.

Ok I realize some people resenttheir ds-3032. Should I be calling nvc to see if they got mine to knw if I have to resend it? I sent it on Fri 27th April and got the auto respond message.

If you just sent it on Friday, be patient. It can take up to a week and more to get back an acceptance.

Folks, for the DS-3032, you have to realise, NVC is receiving thousands upon thousands of emails. They can only go through them so quickly. Give them a break here.

More exciting news!

Yesterday we opted in for electronic processing, and received our approval to do so the same night :)

Then this morning, our AOS bill was ready to be paid, so we did, and we submitted our DS-261.

Things are finally happening! :D
