What email are you referring to? Optin? DS-3032?

I didnt know what I was doing so I sent the DS-3032 to NVC Inquiry and NVC Electronic as well as the OPTIN to NVC electronic just to find out that I recived this nasty little email saying this:

This petition is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. You will be notified with further instructions when the processing is complete.

I think I messed up big time :S

That "necessary administrative processing" sounds pretty bad and sounds like a delay. I agree with you and I think you messed up :huh:

Well, being in Mexico, you're required to do online forms, so you shouldn't have sent the DS-3032, as you fill that form out online, called the DS-261. But the DS-3032 is not a huge deal. There's still Canadians doing the same thing, and it's not a problem. The big problem would be if you sent the DS-230 with the IV package instead of doing the DS-260 online. But you're not there yet. What you did was alright.

That email you received though can be a problem. I've never seen an IR-1/CR-1 visa applicant receive that. It's usually only K-1 visa applicants that have to undergo that at NVC (mostly chosen at random for quality control). Have you called NVC yet and inquired about that?

PLEASE go and read EVERYTHING in the first two posts in this topic! You need to inform yourself of what you're doing so things like this don't happen as you continue in the process. All the information you need for each step is there and it's up to you to gather it. Print things out, make notes, find out what is relevant to you and the country you are in.

10/13/11 - NOA1 Confirmation by e-mail & text
10/17/11 - NOA1 Hard copy received (Priority date October 11)

04/16/12 - Case arrived at NVC
04/25/12 - Received case #, IIN, and BIN, gave e-mail addresses, sent optin e-mail
04/26/12 - Submitted DS-261 online (Resubmit on 5/10)
04/27/12 - Received info package and AOS bill e-mails from NVC
05/01/12 - Re-sent Optin e-mail (accepted 5/01)

05/14/14 - Check cleared bank account - pending date 05/13

05/15/14 - Received NOA (Receipt date 5/08)

05/19/14 - Biometrics letter received, Notice date 05/16 (appointment scheduled for 06/11)
06/11/14 - Biometrics appointment

12/17/14 - APPROVED!

12/27/14 - 10 year Green Card arrived!

Well it is now beyond the point of reconciling. She has explicitly made it clear that she doesn't want to be with me. I am talking to lawyers to find out the process. So yes it is happening. I just feel like I just lost the past year of my life. There is no way I can get it back. I had so many hopes and dreams but I guess it is for the better. I am glad now that I won't be spending my life with her.

So I suppose wait till I actually file for the divorce? It is not like the case is going to progress at all without me doing something. Technically she could fill out the IV form and send the payment right? But I don't think she will ever want to come to the US.

I'm really sorry for you.Do whatever you think is best for you.

Called NVC asking case status. They said they are waiting DS-230. I emailed them DS-230 and civil documents in one PDF on 5/23/2012. Is this normal? Should I re-email them? Thx for advice.

They won't know about your DS-230 email until they start reviewing it.

So looks like tomorrow we will be hopping on June NVC thread ? Still awaiting my interview date.

There's really nothing to do after POE. Just wait for the green card and SSN in the mail. If you have a question in mind though, I'd be more than happy to answer, as always! :)
