Wow, a second person getting SIF this week... Weird Maybe NVC is bringing SIFs back... Can you get on someone else's computer to call in? Cause I'm betting you have case completes for both cases

I've been trying to install my MagicJack on the other computers in the house. Then I found out that many others have had problems installing MJ on Windows7. Too bad I can't understand computer techy terms, so I can't make it work. Then I tried on another computer which has Vista, but still nothing. I can't call using our home phone because it's limited to domestic calls, and my cellphone can't call internationally either because the bill's overdue. And it's hard to reach my husband now that I don't have my own computer (so hard to get my brothers' asses off their games) and you know, my husband doesn't have that much initiative to call. I have to prompt him everytime.

Everything's going against me. This must mean we have our case completes already. LOL

Talking to Sheeshka on Facebook. She's made it safely to Montreal over the weekend with her husband. Her internet is crappy at the moment so she can't really post here on VJ. She just wanted me to give everyone an update.

Her husband (the beneficiary) had his medical yesterday and all went well. They were definitely prepared with a lot of documents (blood titre test, past surgery information), but the doctor didn't need either of them. Based on the blood titre test and him having the MMR shot, he didn't need any additional immunizations. They also checked his private parts real quick to make sure he was what he says he was The doctor asked about his previous surgery (as he has scars), and the doctor didn't need his paperwork.

Now they're just hoping to get his medical results by Friday (which they should) since their interview is this Monday.

If only I could call for you!

If you can't find a computer to call from or get your own computer fixed, I'd suggest kicking your husband to call NVC and just simply ask: "Is our case complete?". It'll take him two seconds

Quick question I got my case number and iin last night at 9:30PM and I sent the email to NVC inquiry at 10:30PM and I have only seen the auto response is there anythig else am I supposed to recieve?

or does it mean it was accepted?

Hey everyone,

It seems many people are waiting for the precious case number from the slow NVC, us included.

In the meantime I am getting all the papers together so when I get it I can send them out crazy fast. One quesiton I have though is how to compile the AOS packet. Not only will we include the i-864 from me, the petitioner, but also proof of domicile (credit card bills, student loan payments, voter registration) , past taxes and pay stubs but ALSO we will include our joint sponsors stuff too - the i-864, tax receipts (gotta take the staples out still!) , pay stubs, proof of citzenship and such.

It's looking to be a lot of papers and I can't seem to find out how the NVC likes the package. Are the ACCO fastners that USCIS likes usable for NVC too? I don't want any papers falling out for fear of an RFE but wanted to ask how everyone else has submitted a fat stack of papers for the AOS stage. Any advice or experience would be appreciated!

What email are you referring to? Optin? DS-3032?

Go here: https://www.google.com/voice Essentially, you can call any number, directly from your computer (using a headset/mic). I used Google Voice (for free) from my computer when calling NVC and DOS. Worked like a charm

Called he NVC when I finally got home from work tonight, Montreal flooded this afternoon about a half hour before I was supposed to finish, and Case Complete!

Actually it was complete on the 18th and I have yet to receive an email!

Plus side, It won't feel so long waiting for an interview date since I've already been waiting for 11 days.

Just checked the form (which is sitting in my immigration folder), and they just left the spouse line blank, and the officer signed on the line below.
