You are probably right.this whole immigration process made me nuts!Thuth is I don't like about America is they think they are the supreme power of the world& nothing else matter.May be if I live here longer I might like it. Wishing you all the best to your journey & join me here soon :)

Not all Americans think they are the supreme power of the world, etc., but I hear what you're saying. I've always taken the opportunity to educate my American friends who are (or seem to be) clueless of what's going on in the rest of the world.

Honestly, most of my personal experiences with Americans have been very positive. My friends (who I grew up with and attended school with from grades 4-11) and my in-laws in Pittsburgh are amazing and wonderful people. My Mum moved to Columbus, Ohio and lived there until she passed. The people I know there are like my family and again, are amazing people.

There is ignorance, prejudice, rudeness and intolerance in every country around the world. Canada is certainly no exception to that. It's up to us to choose the people we want to engage with and establish relationships with. I feel confident that you will find new friends and develop wonderful relationships as you get settled. Darnell has some very good suggestions and recommendations regarding that. I know that I'm fortunate to be moving back to the city where I spent my childhood and already have established friendships and my in-laws, who I adore.

Take care and all the best to you, Neela!

Good morning people how r u?

Tis a Federal Holiday in the USA - so the Helpful Hotlines are closed.

If anyone receives email today - laugh a bit - it's some autogenerated stuff that finally got out it's queue and headed over to you.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I'm still in the process of sending the AOS and IV packages to the NVC. I asked before about when my wife should take her medical examination. I wanted to ask a following question.

1) Can she get her medical examination done as soon as possible, for example, next couple of weeks?

2) Can she just give the medical examination facility the NVC case number and/or email letters from the NVC with the case number?

3) Or does she have to wait for an official interview letter from the NVC?

We just would like to get things done asap in case of any problems that may delay her getting the medical exam.

Has anyone been able to log in to the NVC payment portal this weekend? Mine says that I cannot make payment at this time and should contact NVC. All I have is the case number and IIN so far. When I was able to log in (before Friday), it said AOS fees - Not Invoiced. I got the case number on Wednesday. Thanks!

So, use a telephone on Tuesday, and ask NVC Supervisor to join up the casefiles.

No, you won't get a refund of that 2nd 88 bucks you paid, sorry.

Hi Darnell. Called NVC, the operator said my wife's and my son's case already joined up. Don't get a chance to talk with a supervisor. So seems ok, I guess?
