I heart.gif Lord of the Rings!

For your question, it's up to you. If your interview is in September, then that's like another 4 months for your 2 year anniversary. Can you two handle that? Keep in mind, ROC is currently $590. The question is, is $600 worth waiting an extra 4 months or so?

A scan will be alright. Since there are no seals or signatures or anything, the consulate/embassy would never know it's a photocopy.

It's been taking around a week or so for NVC to review packages. Yes, call them, you should be doing this every single day to stay as up to date as possible on your case.

Grats! kicking.gifkicking.gif

Since it's asking for the entire IV package, this is most likely a "false checklist". This is generated when the AOS package is reviewed and accepted. Call up NVC and confirm that your AOS package has been accepted.

PS. Please refer back to post 2 as this question has been answered already there.

Hi saylin, yes on 22nd when my husband called, they told him AOS package has been accepted and then, this email today. I'll be happy if is just a false checklist because we were hoping for case complete this week. Thanks

A quick question out of curiosity: When you were done with the interview, I guess you were directed to arrange for delivery with DHL.

My question is: At some point do you get some soar of DHL tracking number so that you can trace the location of your passport? and when does this occur?

Thanks!

By the way, I LOVE your name ;)

If that is why you chose the name, then I too am a fan. I spent a lot of time in my teenage years reading those books. I'm a bit of a Tolkien geek here.

For Canadians, we sign up for DHL delivery BEFORE the interview. The tracking number is given after the passport has been shipped through a reference number we get when initially signed up.

But this is for Canada. Courier service is different in every country.

I've heard that PI IV does schedule online - but that's for K-1 visas.. Unsure how it works for other visa types, sorry. Great question for the PI forum, though - have you found it here ?

I saw the topic here for K-1 visa but I tried the link anyways and they have the options fOr IR-5 visa as well which really surprised me and at the last step, it shows the dates available to set an interview. I wanted to select one but I'm unsure. One vjer said that it also applies for IR-5 and that's it. Tried to know if he know someone did it but no reply. I did ask NVC about it but they dont know.

Well, it's official. Applicant Summary has been updated with my DHL waybill number, and email has been sent to DHL for delivery to my office. The visa is really on its way to me. Notice has been put in at work - last day June 7th. Plane ticket bought for POE on June 9th. I guess...this means it's pretty well done?! :)

YAY! You'll be heading home when we're leaving Montreal :)

Same here.Applicant Summary page is showing my Waybill number.Im 99% sure tomorrow morning/afternoon it will be ready for pick up.

Im so excited. My POE will be on May 27Th,this Sunday

YAY! You'll be leaving when we get to Montreal LOL

Wheee, congrats! It's such a RELIEF to be nearly done :D:dance::dance:

...I don't know why but I still get worried when I think about POE at Winnipeg airport. There's no way around it but wow...these guards make me nervous...

You're POE will be fine. You're activating your visa, the US CBP will be more than happy to finally let you in to stay :)

Eeeek! Hoping for an interview date soon!

It's the final "wait".... and it is a toughie!

The wait for the interview is WORSE than any NOA2 wait. (Even mine that took almost 9 months lol.) It took almost a month from my Case complete to receiving an interview date, but I was on the long end of waiting. (story of my life) I'd say you'll have a late June, early July interview date for sure.

The new airport is pretty, but wonky as all get out. The security is 'backwards' and doesn't make sense. Then who's bright idea was it to not put restaurants on the public side of security?! The in-laws used to enjoy taking one of us to the airport early and have lunch/dinner at a place before we would have to go through security.

Called NVC today, case not receive yet.

PI isn't eligible for electronic processing, everything you do will have to be by snail mail.

The petitioner will handle and sign all the affidavit of support package details. The Beneficiary will have to fill out, sign and send the documents for the IV package. The beneficiary can do this ahead of time and send it to the Petitioner, and the petitioner sends in the package to NVC or they can mail the IV package directly to NVC from where they are.
