Hello Everyone,

I’m new at VJ, but I have got a lot of useful info out of everyone’s post. Thanks for making it easy…

Quick Question: I called NVC on May 21, 2012 and asked about my wife’s case status and the operator said, the case has been approved :yes: and will be sent out to her embassy (Islamabad, Pakistan). Can someone tell me how long does it take get an interview date and also she said that they only issue interview date at end of the month, is that correct? Also will NVC center send me an e-mail once her date has been issued or should I keep on calling them daily? Please advise and all of your help is highly appreciated

Sorry another questions: Who do you think is more helpful on obtaining interview date info, NVC or DOS? Please advise

NVC gets the open dates from consulate, NVC schedules you in an open slot, then informs consulate, either the next day or a day after your case is sent to your consulate. Until then the consulate has no idea you exist.

For NVCdo civil documents need to be translated from Spanish to English from what I've read they don't have to. I think I read some where that people have gotten RFE for not including the translation. What should I do? I almost have all my paperwork done.

We have two weeks waiting to get an answer from the NVC...when will they contact us?

If you're referring to getting a case number, you've still got about another 2 weeks to go. It's currently taking NVC about 4+ weeks from NOA2 to assign a case number.

YAAAAYY!! Got my case numbers yesterday evening, and today my wife sent off her ds3032 email (with much prodding and wringing of hands :D ), and I paid the AOS bill!! We're finally moving again! :dance:

So for some reason... I am finding this waiting for the interview very hard (i know it has only been a couple days since our case has been complete) but I think it is because they are not many timelines for Barbados... so I am not sure on how long we will have to wait for the interview date.

I am becoming antsy and anxious to just be with my husband. So I am going to try not to check this website too much and not call NVC haha.

Just wanted to vent a bit.

Even while I'm in Canada, I'll be checking my email and keeping up to date on the monthly NVC thread ;) I can't leave my immigration babies alone for too long laughing.gif

But yeah, I'm much looking forward to this trip! It's been nearly two years since I've been on an airplane and I'm super duper excited about that. Plus, my uncle and aunt-to-be are finally getting married the day after I land (the whole reason for this trip), and I've been waiting for them to get married for years now, so I'm super excited!! Plus, seeing the rest of my family :) And Canada! I miss not seeing Canadian flags laughing.gif
