According to the VJWiki - "How Do I Bring My Spouse (Husband or Wife) to Live in the United States?", it says under the Track I-864:

"Write NVC Case Number on the top right hand corner of all pages of the I-864 Package and supplemental pages (tax invoices, employment letter, etc.)"

1) Is this absolutely necessary? Has anyone submitted these pages without the NVC Case Number?

2) Should I write the NVC Case Number to all pages in the IV Package as well?

2003 - met online

12-09-2010 - met for the first time

12-11-2010 - engaged

06-07-2011 - married

09-27-2011 - I-130 sent

09-29-2011 - NOA1

04-04-2012 - I-130 approved

05-14-2012 - NVC Case number received

06-26-2012 - Case completed

08-02-2012 - VISA APPROVED :)

You should, especially paper packages. In case something slips out of your package or gets lost, it can easily be put back in it's proper place.

It's not required, but NVC also suggests you do the same thing for the same reason. I've seen many people have papers lost out of their packages and they have to send in another copy because there wasn't a case number on each page.

Excellent reasons that you explained :)

Yes, on everything but the bar coded sheet, for both packages and anything else you might end up sending to NVC.

I did electronic processing and I even put the case number on those pages too lol.

When it takes two seconds to write the case number on all the pages, I don't know why anyone would take the chance.

Oh I really LMAO-ed on that one. I didn't realize I was being interviewed :P

Coffee and scones and great conversation about how much US immigration sucks was such fun. It was an awesome break from going through junk and packing!
