You need the NVC case number for the DS3032 and for other inquiries. Call NVC again in the morning and ask for your hubby's case number since they already provided the Invoice #. Usually they email both applicant and petitioner regarding your case. As soon as you get your case number, email DS3032 asap. you'll be needing the invoice when paying for the AOS and IV fee online. hope that helps. blush.gif

APPROVED!!!!! We way over-thought the process, depending on where you are having your interview, if it is anything like Spain, be calm and relaxed, it's a piece of cake. Basically my husband went in, overflowing with pictures and documents. They only care about the tax reports (i sent originally the 2010 because it was before April 17th) if you did the same, make sure that you bring updated tax transcripts. I would bring them anyway, since it seems that is all they care about. They asked him what he will do, he said study, when he told them that we are studying in two different cities until i receive my MBA the guy could care less, he just said that's great, good luck, APPROVED! My husband was in shock, he asked if the guy wanted photos, letters anything, and the guy said no. They did leave him a room for about an hour while they went to get lunch, so that was nerve-wrecking.

Just know this, make sure your file is absolutely complete before it is sent to the embassy and you will have nothing to worry about!!!!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad everything worked out for you guys!!! Best of luck with everything else!!!

NVC doesn't accept packages on Saturdays by the looks of it. The mail courier you chose will re-deliver on Monday.

Hmm, so I hope they'll finish the delivery earlier than their estimated date.. :P But I'm not so optimistic, I've been tracking our packages since yesterday, it seems like they aren't moving at all.

Hi everyone! We got our NOA2 May 2, 2012 & when my hubby called NVC yesterday (May 17, 2012) they said they already received my case but they haven't received our son's case yet. They gave my hubby an invoice# which is an 8 digit number (is this my case number????)...they got our email address & was advised to wait for 15-20 days for the next steps through email... Can I email DS3032 using the invoice# given to my hubby??? so clueless on the next steps...i hope you guys could help us...Thanks in advance... (F)

You need the NVC case number to send your DS-3032. The Invoice Identification Number, which is the 8-digit number you have right now, is for you to pay your fees on the NVC portal. Did your husband receive the information via e-mail or by phone? If by e-mail, the NVC case number is included there - it starts with MNL and has a 10-digit number next to it. If by phone, then you should try calling them when they open and ask for your case number.

hi, can you please help me on this one.. quite lost about the DS-230 form, there is an OMB APPROVAL NO. EXPIRES: 4/30/12.. is it the expiration date of the form? or it's just nothing? trying to print it now signed it and send it to my husband immediately. but this is the only DS-230 form can be found at the USCIS website. can anyone enlighten me about this?

After nearly four weeks, our IV packet finally arrived at NVC today. I called the local post office yesterday and they told me to wait one more day and if it hadn't changed status to call again and they would try to contact customs to see if they had the packet. Seems like they know what they were talking about this time. Hopefully next week we will finally get a case complete and we can start waiting to find out when the interview will be. Seeing that the packet was delivered to NVC was the best news I'd had all week.

On an unrelated note, I spoke to an NVC operator yesterday night and asked what would happen after the suggested wait time of 20 business days for review of the packet. They said that the review would be complete and they would be working to schedule an interview with the consulate. That sounded like a load of bunk to me though.

Good luck to all!

Also if you didn't know mailing stuff from Vietnam to the US takes forever, something I already knew before this process (but was still hoping we would get lucky and the IV packet would get sent quickly).

Don't worry, be happy.

Wow that was a long time for delivery and NVC does review the packages quickly, mine was done in a day. So by monday if all is well you should have a case complete. They have been working very quickly of late, so you may get lucky.

don't worry about it, mine had a date of february 29 and i filled it out in march, just fill out the most recent one on the government website and you cannot go wrong! if it makes you feel better, right before you send it out, check on the website to make sure its the version, but either way, you are fine.

Hello Guys!

Im in doubt about the taxes returns:

My co-sponsor, my father in law, he doesn't want to order the transcripts from IRS cos he already have the taxes returns at his house.

I know that if you submit the 1040 forms you will need to send the W2s too, I told him that, but not sure if its enough?

I've read that sometimes NVC ask for attachments and schedules with the 1040 forms, but this things are the W2s? or not?

Im soooo afraid to get a RFE because of that, cos my husband and my we live abroad, very far away from him, so he is gonna do this part by himself...

Who sent the 1040 forms plz, give some help here...

Thanks a lot!

YAYYYYY!!! The interview today in Trinidad went SO smoothly! My husband just called. They only asked him what my name is, when we met, and if my address is the same. He plays basketball and is really tall so the employees at the embassy made him sign the back of one of the passport photos so that they "don't have to pay for it if he goes pro".

What a huge relief. He will be back next weekend!!!! :)

Thanks to all for the support and encouragement throughout this process. Couldn't have done it without VJ.
