Congrats on the approvals and other good news/progress on your cases! So great to read about!

Now, come on NVC! Release my IV bill so we can pay it, please!!! I'm checking the payment portal far too often and am driving myself nuts.

Oh, since I didn't get any replies to my inquiry last night about the previous address portion on the DS-260, I'm guessing that nobody who has had to submit that (instead of the DS-230) has the same issue I'm having?

Question regarding the DS-260 and previous addresses since I was the age of 16. My Mum and I moved A LOT, she is now deceased and I'm not having any luck finding ANYTHING with the street addresses of the first two places we lived in Edmonton. I remembered the street name and even found the name of the townhouse units and apartment building we lived in. As for the actual mailing address, I have no idea. On the DS-230, all that was needed was City and Province so that wasn't an issue.

Does anyone have a similar experience? How did you fill this part of the DS-260? Any idea if it will be sufficient if I fill in the addresses as best I can?

While not having the same issue as you exactly, there was one apartment he couldn't remember the mailing address to. He used the street number and postal code for the building and his DS-260 was approved with out issues.

I would say fill it out the best you can, and try to get the postal codes at least in the ball park of where you lived.

...Just know this, make sure your file is absolutely complete before it is sent to the embassy and you will have nothing to worry about!!!!

This worries me a little. Since I was expedited and my file went to Montreal before I submitted any documents, I wonder if this is going to cause an issue? I hope not, considering they want my originals and copies when I go to pay (and they want me to pay while there)...

I think expediting through NVC is kind of tricky because NVC (in my opinion) is very quick in comparison with USCIS. On the other had, yes it gets your case (suppossedly faster to the Embassy) but you still have to wait for the time to Interview date plus your case file would be incomplete and you'll have to provide valuable documentation during the Interview (making it perhaps a longer Interview and more of a hussle, that is, in the event you're missing something).

Finally, I think this is why most CR1/IR1 Interviews I've read about are such an easy process and that's thanks to the pre-screening stage that NVC does for you.

I actually didn't wait very long for my interview date...and they've got a separate window I go to so I can provide any documentation. Got copies and originals of pretty much anything else they could want too. so, we'll see what happens next Tuesday I guess...

I did read something about another Canadian expedite that made it sound just as easy as anyone elses...can only hope that's still true!

Thanks, Sheeshka! I'll see what I can come up with and do the best I can. Having moved SO MANY TIMES before I was 20 years old, it's hard to remember those addresses. Still wishing the DS-260 only asked for City/Province. LOL

Try getting rid of underlined words. And maybe remove some color. All that takes up lines and for signatures, you can only have 40 lines of code. If possible, maybe remove a word here or there, condense your signature. I had to do this multiple times when I was going through the process too. And I had links too in my signature and that takes up a lot of lines of code

Here's a suggestion: just put the headers (USCIS, NVC, Medical/Consulate/POE) in color to highlight that section. Don't put the entire section in color. That way, your last section won't be so boring

And yeah, I was out of room, so I just decided to make a picture out of my timeline by creating it in InDesign.
