Is there something similar to the Igor's List for NVC?

OMG, interview tomorrow, by the time i wake up (if i sleep) my husband will be done...eeeek pleeeeeze approve!!!!

Hope to hear good news when I wake up tomorrow! Good luck! :)

Hi all! I haven't been around in a while - super swamped! But, my husband's interview is Friday in Trinidad. Please think happy thoughts! Any last minute tips or things to remember or things we wouldn't think about bringing??!

Can't wait til this is over!!!

Good luck on the interview.

Got all required documents? Have you gone over the sample interview questions for a mock interview?

Hi there,

My husband received today the following email:

[....]

What is the meaning?

Sounds like USCIS just sent your petition to NVC.

I've got a suggestion for you: as soon as you get a case number, request an expedite due to USCIS error (taking 2 months to send your case out).

Do we need to call NVC to know that they receive our Petition? and call again to know our Case number etc?

You do NOT have to call NVC at all during this process. Not once is it required.

The only reason people (including me) suggest calling NVC is to stay up to date on your case and make it go quicker.

You can just sit back and wait for mail correspondence if you wish.

Do you guys start calling the day after your case complete for your Interview dates?

Im thinking to start on Friday. I looked at others from Trinidad timeline's and it varies from 5-20 days, that's a big gap inbetween. Does the date of you case complete have a part to play in how long you have to wait?

PS: i just call NVC cus i was uncertain when to start calling and he just said it's when ever the embassy send them open slots then they fill them and send emails out with your dates.

That last bit is mostly accurate. There is variance, though, if an open slot appears after 'scheduling week'.

Good Luck !

Is there something similar to the Igor's List for NVC?

Saylin's Spreadsheet.

Find it. Learn It. Be able to compute a 92 percent confidence interval from the raw data supplied. Todayish.

Happily paid AOS Fee Bill, Emailed "NVCElectronic@state.gov" with DS-3032 and petitioner's and beneficiary's name/dob/email addresses for EP !!!

Now ya wait.

Wait until

1. you've a GZO # and

2. you can log in to the payment portal using the GZO #

Got all the above? Slam the AOS via EP/email, pay the IV fee bill (then wait some more) then sling the IV EP set into NVC.

query - you are doing your wife and your parents, at NVC, currently? or am I confused?

Hi there,

My husband received today the following email:

Please review your approval notice since it provides information regarding visa issuance.

Your petition to classify the beneficiary as an immediate relative of a United States citizen has been forwarded to the National Visa Center (NVC) and will be subsequently sent to the United States Consulate for visa processing. This completes all action by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on the petition. The U.S. Consulate, which is under the supervision of the U.S. Department of State, will advise the beneficiary concerning visa issuance. Inquiry concerning visa issuance should be addressed to the Consul or through NVC at the following address:

National Visa Center

31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 200

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2915

You may also send your inquiry through nvcinquiry@state.gov. The phone number for NVC is (603) 334-0700.

USCIS will not be able to answer any inquiry concerning visa issuance. Your case is now officially under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State until it is returned to USCIS for further review.

Thank you.

What is the meaning?

Wow.

It's either an error

or

Congratulations ! You've a K-3 in play, soonish!

Take the receipt # from the I-797-C approval notice, call into NVC, and ask for casefile status.

Do we need to call NVC to know that they receive our Petition? and call again to know our Case number etc?

absolutely! ! !

but

since you've an opening question, I strongly suggest you go back to post #1 and post #2 in this topic, read all.

Then read all again, with pen and paper, taking copious notes.

Then read post #1 and #2 again, click through all the links, and study more.

Suggest you do this from a PC or laptop, as handphones SUCK for web-browsing here at VJ - you miss a lot.

Good Luck !

That sounds like the NOA2 but u got that already, didn't u? Could it be that theyre just sending it out now?

Not really. That smells like a K-3 email formletter, actually.

paper.

pen...

clickie bits.

read all.

make copious notes.

read all again...

recheck yer notes.. refactor.

practice filling out forms... (5 times, as paper is cheap)

practice reading the instructions (folk miss this) at

DS-230 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html

I-864 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3730.html

General NVC stuff - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html

then keep reading, finding the anomolies.

You'll get there, in the end, I swear (and promise).

Paper and ink is cheap. Your time, however, is priceless.

double wacko !

as

what he was to ask for

was

a set of the shot records for his personal use.

I've no idea what yer talking about 'secondary medical record'

as

I've only blathered on about shot records.

You're welcome.

No, the letter isn't an expedite, it's saying (in my opinion) that USCIS has sent your case to NVC. I suggested you expedite at NVC because it took so long for USCIS to send your case to NVC.

Sorry in advance for my post - just need to vent.

My joint sponsor - while I am thankful for her - is holding up the process.

Same here! Her papers aren't ready yet, so we took the chance and mailed out all our packages without hers. My husband does earn above the required minimum, but I'm afraid there isn't enough proof for that. The last paystub he sent in with our package was of last January - no paystubs for Feb, March, and half of April because he came home and was on unpaid leave.

I'm hoping we don't get an RFE because of the "not so recent paystub". But I'm telling my husband to get our joint sponsor's papers ready just in case. And if NVC lets it slide, I'm planning to bring our joint sponsor's documents to the interview, anyway.

So, we're hoping and praying they'll accept our papers!
