It's going to be great to get those done! I'm SO NERVOUS!!! Yes, I will see you May 22 :) Your birthday's May 21? Awesome - well, happy birthday to you :D When I was a young girl, I had a teacher (in 8th grade) that had my same birthday. And apparently in high school, I didn't know this until after but there was another kid with the same birthday as me LOL. Apparently July 9th is a good day for a birthday? :P (Yes, I just noticed - POE for me is hopefully 1 month before my birthday wheee!! :) )

She did, really? I had an older guy do my x-ray...didn't get to see it until last Friday. That's OK. I saved it onto my computer and sent it to Travis LOL, so he could see too :)

I think it's if you've got a communicable disease (like syphilis, AIDS, etc), if you've got TB and haven't been treated, if you've got a condition (mental or physical) that makes you a danger to yourself or others...if you haven't gotten and refuse to get your shots done...that sort of thing.

Hum .lol i should be fine. They needed my height too, I am surprised to see i was 6 feet and 2 inches, They took my weight, my heart beat, they gave me 5 shots, they have me sit far from a wall where there was some letters i had to read by putting a hand on one eyes. It was probably to see if i have or not eyes problems

Giving an update on my friend's NVC stage if anyone cares. His AOS package was accepted and approved. Everything went smoothly. He sent his IV package on 10 MAY 2012. They received it on 11 MAY 2012. I'm gonna have him call later today to make sure that IV package has been approved. I'm seeing a lot of people had their IV package processed within a day or two of receiving the package. So two days is ample time. I think. Now that my friend is in the home-stretch, he doesn't give me as much value as he did at the beginning of the process. It's so nice to see young ones grow up and fly off the nest on their own.

NOA2 May 14. What is the next step please?

First off, grats on your recent approval!

Read the first two posts in this thread. It has links to helpful guides and sites, as well as a FAQ.

It's currently taking about 4+ weeks to get a case number from NOA2, so you have time. While you're waiting, read the first two posts and get your AOS and IV packages ready to go.

Hi Saylin!! Thanks so much for the guide you posted!! Helped us a lottttt!!! Would be honoured to be in your spreadsheet smile.gif Oh, I'm applying IR5 for my mom... Idk if im qualified for your spreadsheet or not... unsure.gif

I'm glad it helped!

Added you on the spreadsheet! Although most people on there are IR-1 or CR-1 visa applicants, I do add derivatives as it's the same process. There's a little note next to your name reflecting what visa you're going after.

Is there some kind of spreadsheet somewhere, showing where everyone is at in the NVC stage? I thought I saw it somewhere the other day, but I can't remember where

Yup, it's linked in my signature below and it's also on the first post :)

Saylin My medical was smooth.I was all done by 8.30am.They let my husband come all the way where i've been.

That's awesome! Glad he was allowed! kicking.gif

Saylin & Shell i also got conformation email from Montreal IV unit that they conform my rescheduling.Im Happy and relaxed now :D

Good day,

We confirm that you rescheduled for 22-May-2012 08:30 AM.

I am including the links below with helpful information in order to be fully prepared for the interview.

Yay, glad you got confirmation of your re-scheduled interview! Bet you're feeling a lot better now! I'd suggest printing out this email too in case you have problems at the front door of the consulate (although, you shouldn't at all).

a question off the topic...sorry guys ..i need a little help...

i am preparing my IV package ,and the passport photo copy i am gonna need...does it need to be notarized,or i can just sign it and date it..or just leave it like that?

Thanks in advance!

The copy of the passport bio-data page just needs to be a simple photocopy. Doesn't have to be certified or notarized. No signing or dating. Just copy the passport page and send the photocopy in the IV package. That's it.

How much time between "CASE RECEIVED" and "CASE NUMBER ASSIGNED"

The case was received on 05-11-12

Thanks

It's currently taking about 4+ weeks from NOA2 date, so you should be getting your case number in about 2 weeks. Could be less if you're lucky (which does happen). So, just keep calling once a day. You're nearly there.

Glad their case is progressing nicely and nearly at the end! kicking.gif
