No debate, just wondering because I really thought petite referred to height or maybe just in the clothing world? And would this really be the most ridiculous thing ever to be debated in MENA? :D

you're right, petite is height, but even if I was 5 feet, I still wouldn't consider myself petite because of my curves! (just my personal choice, even if it isn't the mainstream thought!)

Never give up on anything God has told you to believe for; never quit doing anything He has clearly shown you to do. Your diligence will pay off with a blessing from God." -Joyce Meyers

Since I chose the word...I think it was directed to me... :star:

Minthra....you entertain me and it is simply a quagmire that we are not best friends yet.... :luv: If you want to just add me as a friend Ill accept

I posted for the weight subject with palmtreegirl daring to write about her weight...where as I was chicken to even post of my height

and when i was writing i'd seen Tany's height on my screen (having posted right after her)...and made a comment. Wheeew.

Surely this is not a MENA issue that offended someone again??? But I will attempt to clear things up for the sake of reaching out ...I did say it is better to be nice and have to go by my own advice.

My husband speaks French and I am learning or attempting to...and the petite was meant as small.....I did not know Tany is over weight or under weight.... nor should it matter. Did not even look to other post's height...to compare what is petite or small or little in stature...whew.

explained.

You got a +1... the drama continues...please I wish not to be sucked into the banter or negativity. It's not worth being right or wrong on here. that goes for the one who LIKED your post

Maybe the translations of what we wish to convey on here get lost (missing the sounds and gestures) rather just typing words...Sarcasm, humor etc...other wise there is no way you need to pick on my words unless you want to be friends...hahahaha.

GF I am sending you a friend request right now...

you do make me laugh.

PS if you dont accept at least I have tried and publicly too That's the way I roll....:ot2:

I wish you good thoughts

I think she was asking because 5'4" is the technical cut-off for petite (so it would be a height demarcation in that sense); if you meant by clothing size that is. I +1 her post because she asked if it was a height thing, and I was agreeing that technically it is. +1 doesn't always equal drama.

I know sometimes I come off as rude or sarcastic and sometimes I am rude or sarcastic but this time I was just wondering. I never thought of myself as petite even though my husband thinks I'm short lol. I do have to wear petite sized jeans sometimes because regular jeans can be a bit too long on me esp. if I want to wear flats. I have a longer torso than legs, unfortunately. I wish it were the other way around.

I'm always open to making new friends. :)

fair enough and thank for stepping up to clear it...I dont wish to be defensive...but constant MENA cattiness has gotten to me and I am trying to

I dont know what...make it a nice place to find refuge...????

You ladies dont remember the wait time?? and now it is so uncertain with the fraud causing scrutiny...MENA should be a place to get answers not come and avoid fights

I am done...my husband just called and this is important.

I have the opposite problem and I am 6" shorter than you! My dad used to like to pick on me when I was little and called me his little spider (all arms and legs). Unfortunately this story was told to my husband and now he calls me 3enkaboot time to time.tongue_ss.gif

Why are you being rude to me after I was nice to you?

Yes, I don't think a single person has forgotten their wait time. Ours was 15 months. Fraud caused scrutiny then, it causes it now, and it will 10 years from now. This is nothing new. Every new group just has to learn to accept it for what it is and move on.

Yeah I remember my wait time. It sucked. We ripped each other apart back then and it was fun and made the wait go by a bit faster. It was like MENA fight club. lol!

MENA fight club-- lol! Yes... it was at times! but then we had the daily thread which was usually very friendly and even those people who disliked each other would often be pretty fair and stick up for each other if someone was being unfairly berated about something... or stereotyped, etc.

Also, we would disagree and still be friends....imagine that!

Yah even with me being 5'6 I have to get petite in jeans/pants bcz im shorter from waist down. I don't mind bringing up the weight convo bcz I'm confident per se about it just need to loose weight for health sake & it was said to me by the doc that it would possibly be easier to get pregnant if I could loose weight.

Anis: 6'1" (I think)

Me: 5'5"

I am also in the petite trench as I am a torso woman. I can't wait to finish this semester so I can go to the gym and get back to curvy from my present lumpy state :)

Working in Turkmenistan, spouse is with me.

Dealing with the NVC process...
