Hi everyone,

I am helping my best friend in processing her papers in petitioning her mother in the Philippines. She already paid the IV fee and got the instructions in what to do next. I just want to clarify the DS-230 and civil documents if they will mail the papers directly to NVC? After sending the documents, what she will do next?

Then, she was confused also about her mom's marital status if she will check the box Separated. Her mom was separated for almost 50 years and have another children from another man which is the petitioner's father(he was diseased already). Does she need to put the information of her legal husband even though they are separated already? Does the immigration need their marriage license? And how about the name of her children does she need to right it down all the children she have from her legal husband and live in partner? Please help us.

Thank you very much

Cristy
