OMG after more than one year of just sitting there doing absolutely nothing, the dendrobiums are putting out new roots and one has a nubbin of a bloom spike !

The white things with the green tips are new roots. The green thing with the pointy tip is the new bloom spike.

Awesome-- on the dends and Jackie Bright!

Thank you - I am really so excited.

I decided to put that giant-azz phal that needed more room into an 8" square aquatic pot I had for pond plants. It is black plastic mesh, so lots of air can get to the roots and it has plenty of drainage. But it doesn't allow nearly as much light to reach them as my preferred model. Hmpf.

Sounds better than nothing though!

OMG I never knew celery could grow like that before - that is awesome ! The amaryllis look pretty, too.

We have a Meyer's lemon tree which we planted in 2006, and it got hit hard in a bad freeze 2 winters ago (got down in the 20s for quite a few nights) - and it froze back to about 3 feet tall. It returned to vigor though, and is now over 8 feet tall and wide again, and covered in lemons (simultaneously in all stages of growth from bloom to ripe fruit.) Hope yours recovers !

I don't know how well it will grow really, it's more of a pinterest gimicky "YOU CAN PLANT BUTTS OF ALL THE THINGS AND REGROW THEM!". So I just stuck it in a teacup.

Wait, what is this awesome violet teacup that I have never seen beforeeee?

um.. yeah! actually it came with the house, I have no idea what sort of thing was growing it when we moved in, but they left it. and that little thing died.

Wow pretty flowers, Inluv ! I see marigolds, what looks like white alyssum, maybe some white cosmos, and is that a sweet broom ? Can't quite tell what's in the background - I am thinking the purple may be Mexican heather or maybe it's a lilac ? And I think I see what may possibly be some red, pink and orange gazanias ? It looks great already - go hubby go !

We just had landscaping installed along our fence (we have a privacy issue with the neighbor dogs poking their entire heads through the fence and barking at us even when we are inside the house). We have a row of sweet viburnum and a semi-circle of azaleas. Had to relocate the shrimp plant and it is very angry at me for doing so. Hopefully though the viburnum gets all hedgey so those little white jerks can't see through anymore.

Oh! Adding my lemon tree is regaining life and has around 6 or 7 quarter sized lemons on it, and many more flowers about to bloom. I can't wait - they smell so good!

Yayyyy lemon tree !

I had some shrimp plant. It was extremely vigorous and even invasive - spread into adjacent flower beds, even the lawn, like a bad virus. So yours will probably recover quickly and start multiplying itself again.

My neighbors have two little obnoxious white dogs that keep breaking out of their back yard and marauding through the neighborhood. They dug a tunnel under my fence to get into my yard and yap at my cats and eat their food. I blocked up the tunnel... will see how long before they dig another one.
