The US of A cannot take in the entire world every time there is a gunshot or a shortage of toilet paper....we are NOT the world's police department, we do not owe the world a certain standard of living. Imagine what the living conditions here would be if we took in 500m people who were unhappy or in danger....where would everyone live and work in reasonable, sanitary, comfortable conditions? Jobs? Wages? ( a glut of labor depresses wages)...overcrowded schools...disease from afar....sorry, but we did not create the various situations abroad and do not have the responsibilty to fix them...we have enough of our own problems on the domestic front.

My husband and I lived in Lyari as well. We see our street on the news everyday. I was only able to get him an expedite at USCIS level, but it did shave about 4 months off of the process, but of course, he did not have to wait for a visa number as a spouse. Good luck to you!

Wow Talean, where is in Lyari are you from? I have never met anyone from there before. I think for my aunt's case at least, since she's waiting for her case to be current, I'll try.
