My fiance K- visa was denied on 4/17/12. Anyone have any words of encouragement? The immigration officer was very rude to use during the interview. She stated my fiance was not qualified for this kind of visa and that we should get married in the Dominican Republic. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the letter stating why the visa was denied?

Your fiance should have been given a sheet of paper with reason for denial at the conclusion of the interview.

Were you there?

No she did not state why he was unquallifed. She asked very intimate questions like: Do you use condoms? If you are not using condoms why have you two not gotten pregnant? Is there a problem? When was the last time u were intimate?

You need to find out WHY it was denied. Correct that problem. Re-file.

Getting married is NOT the problem if you filed a fiance(e) visa and is not the solution. Lack of evidence of a relationship COULD be, but if you get married then you need to prove that you have a bona fide marriage. Getting married, itself, does not solve the "problem"

There is no good answer until you know why it was rejected

Thanks. My thoughts exactly. If we get married will we be denied when we file again.

If you do not find out the problem and correct it, you could be denied again for the very same thing.

Did the interviewing officer hand one of you anything? Typically it is a white or blue sheet.

No she did not state why he was unquallifed. She asked very intimate questions like: Do you use condoms? If you are not using condoms why have you two not gotten pregnant? Is there a problem? When was the last time u were intimate?

While uncomfortable, those questions are occasionally asked in visa interviews.

This has been told to people before and they go get married and come back on the forums yelling when their petition is denied again when they are married. The OP needs to find out why the petition was denied and correct the issue before going ahead.

And on what basis can you possibly comment on the validity of the relationship.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
