Its time I made myself an official member here. I admit to casually browsing for several months now in anticipation [and dread] of the moment. My spouse and I have submitted our CR1, and its off to the CA processing facility as of this week. I am a midwestern gal, and he is from Egypt.

Thanks :) I see we have a country of origin in common. An immigration attorney told me bring an Arab male spouse over takes longer to process than other nationalities. Were you ever told anything like that?

Hi and welcome!

I've heard that from more than just immigration attorneys. To be honest, the wait is painful as it is, but from MENA countries it makes it torture! The reason it may take longer to process is AP. Virtually every male (beneficiary) in Egypt goes through it. Remember, Egypt is a high fraud country.

Enough with the bad news. Good news is you're well on your way! :D

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

He didn't stay because he came here with the purpose of marrying me on a multiple entry visa. We wanted to follow the rules.
