Does it really take 30-60 days for a case to transfer to a field office?? How is this possible?!

USCIS - CSC/LOCAL OFFICE DC

12/5/11: NOA1

4/25/12: Case Transferred to Local Office (DC) for "Additional Processing"

4/27/12: Case Received at Local Office

5/15/12: RFE (daughter's birth cert)

5/15/12: RFE Evidence Sent (never received)

8/10/12: Infopass, evidence handed to officer adjudicating case

8/13/12: NOA2

NVC

8/20/12: Case Received

8/31/12: Case #/IIN Received

8/31/12: DS3032 Sent

9/11/12: ERROR MESSAGE! biggrin.png

9/13/12: AOS and IV bill INVOICED, Made AOS and IV bill payments, Mailed AOS and IV paperwork via USPS Priority Mail

9/14/12: AOS/IV marked as PAID

9/17/12: AOS delivered

Not only is it possible, it is somewhat probable.... As that we are all at the mercy of the bureaucracy of the third largest US Federal government departmental agency. Hopefully your case will progress through AP in a timely manner. :unsure:

What about when an expedite request was submitted?

prior to NOA-2 issuance,

if the uscitizen petitioner is scheduled for a local interview with the local USCIS office,

well, there really is not any set timeline for this.

What I've seen in the past is 1 to 3 months from national to local,

then 1 month to set the interview

then another 1 to 2 months to get the casefile back to the national office.

I'm sorry, there's something going on with yer case - please ask an ISO, a Tier 2 Human at USCIS all about it.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
