We were in Montreal last week. daughter and I approved 10 yr old son not.. He now has an appt at American Citizens Services at 8am next thursday..I can not find any info on this embassy.

What do we need to enter the building? Montreal is sending our passports and visas back but not in hand yet?

Is it first come first serve as well? Everyones appts say 8am?

Parking? Nearby hotels? This so was a curveball that this 7 mon preg mamma didnt expect to have thrown at her..Travelling is getting so hard. i just want to settle at our new house in Pittsburgh..but I obviously have to bring my 10 yr old..lol

Also I know in Montreal no one not having buisness at the consulate could enter..but with me having to leave at 3am..Can i bring my 6 yr old daughter with or no?

Thanks so much

They have parking garages all over downtown as well as meter parking. They have a GIANT castle hotel right near the embassy but its really expensive! Check out Google for the US embassy Ottawa and then do a " near by search " for hotels.

The embassy is GINORMUS you cannot miss the thing.. its like someone parked a cruise ship in the middle of downtown market. ( really great shopping there too =D )

Here is their official website. http://canada.usembassy.gov/

On the day of my interview I talked to a nice lady from Ottawa. She said the embassy looks like a giant transformer or alien spaceship

Edit: here is a picture of it. http://www.thecanadapage.org/images/USEmbassy.JPG
