if i call NVC to follow up if they receive my NOA2 from uscis, what information will they ask to me.. i want to call and follow up my noa2 if they receive already..

Your WAC #, name and DOB of the beneficiary and the petitioner...then verify other info to confirm your identity. If it is your first time, you not likely have your DoS case number yet. The NVC will assign your approved petition a case number, remember that number. Refer to the Guides for more information.

Good luck on your visa journey

They will ask all the questions the previous poster said, you then need to ask for your MNL case number and you priority date. That is what you will need to pay for your appointment. :)

Also, just for information. I received my number just about a week after I got my email and text of my NOA2 approval by calling the NVC. Do not wait for the paperwork from them. We had the appointment scheduled and she had her medical done before I received the letter.

Yes like A&B Mentioned you will need

Your WAC # or USCIS Case number,

Name and DOB of both of you

And other information like email to verify other info to confirm your identity.

Once you identity is confirmed you will ask for the Case Number so you can set your interview appointment .....

it will begin with MNL for the Philippines and your priority date (usually the date they received your documents on the original file)

Then you will have your fiance go to a BPI branch and pay the MRV VISA APPLICATION or interview fee. She will need the case number, and her passport. Then they will give her a receipt and you can set your interview about 24hrs later.

NO, the case number and the receipt number are not the same!

The receipt number is the number assigned by USCIS to your initial petition, it will start with either EAC (Vermont Service Center, or WAC (California Service Center).

The case number is the number assigned by DoS (at the NVC) to your approved petition, in your case it will start with MNL.

Yes, what I mean is, if I call NVC to know if they have received my case.. they're asking for my case no. (but I still don't have it) so what information will I provide them in order for them to identify my case.. is it the receipt number? which is EAC******?..

Correct. If USCIS has approved your petition, and has forwarded it to NVC, when you initially call NVC they will ask for your receipt number. Which sounds like in your instance to be EAC........

If NVC has your processed petition, and reply to you with a MNL... number, that is you case number. Remember that number!

You should get a hardcopy notice of this action mailed from NVC, but it usually arrives 2-4 weeks later. By that time, barring any problems/concerns/issues, your case file should be on its way to your interviewing consulate/embassy.
