So I received the appointment letter for my biometrics.I was wondering if the RFE phase is over or can I still be asked to send more evidence anytime during the processing of my case, even after receiving this letter. What happens after the biometrics? An approximate guess on the amount of time between upcoming steps would be appreciated ! My Priority Date is January 23,2012

You can get RFE at anytime during the process even at the interview.

For the timeline of each steps, have you visited this part of the forum Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Report.

You can find people posting their timelines there, many of them have their timeline posted in their signature. That can give you some ideas.

I spent a lot of time reading those posts and they helped me to guesstimate what will happen next and when. (F)

I noticed that New York is slower than other places. I have no idea where you're located. Sometimes the process is slower/faster depending on which office the case goes to. Maria TH is right - at any time you may get an RFE.

Good luck and wishing you a smooth journey. :)

You're welcome. Yep, it's worth the wait. Luckily, I was able to drive around in car for some of the time while waiting around until the i-94 expired. With an EAD, I'm out driving again(and working) and not really anxious to have a greencard in hand right-away because I'm not as limited anymore. Lots of visits to the License Branch though :D

Absolutely.I know what you mean.A little freedom is a great thing :-) I know the feeling.I was super happy to get a social and work permit last year when I was granted temporary protected status.I live and was raised in the US but I still qualified for the tps they granted to Haitian nationals after the earthquake that occured in Haiti.

Even though it might "just" be a part of a region, it's still a whole country that's affected by a natural disaster like an earthquake. Just because I live in the US doesn't mean I don't get affected by anything going on in my home country.
