Number 1 requirement: Must be willing to take abuse from rude users and remain calm :devil:

Number 2 requirement: Must be a good at conflict resolution since some users act as juveniles :)

hmmmm sounds challenging but I was a mod at another site before and well yes it takes alot not to ban folks and keep your emotions out of matters but like my mama always say- listen and acknowledge. I take this approach at all times.

Simplest way is to click the report button on the left and ask the mods. Typically mods are members who have been on VJ for a bit.

The way most mods here get picked is spend 2-3 years giving good immigration advise and help mods spot TOS issues and then they may be choosen when one of the current ones leave or a new section opens. There are many people in the want to be a mod line, you will find the wait shorter to get your visa.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

This may be a problem. From my dealings at least. You are new here. Give it time and see how the team works here. If you are not disillusioned by that time then make inquiries.

Kirkit - does not meet any of 2 requirement and yet is one of the mods.

On this site you got to know the admin to be mod.
