We are on the same boat too...filed in December 2011, transferred to CSC in January 2012. I called the 1-800 number last week to find out what was going on with my husband's application and why is taking forever to get approved and the response that I got was: "the application is still being processed in California".

So much for "faster processing" !!!!

It is an election year.....

I'm just saying

LOL, it's not a death sentence :star: It's actually great news because since you were transferred to CSC, you 'most likely' will be approved without an AOS interview...it's worth the wait. Hang in there!

Still no touch. I'm pretty frustrated because we need to get it in three weeks time so that he can start school and get his driver's license. We've put this off multiple times already and I am sick of it! Isn't 8 months long enough??

Yeah wow we got a great reply from them. We waited our 180 days, contacted them, (they were super rude btw) and now 11 business days later:

The status of this service request is:

Thank you for your inquiry. We will pull your file for review. You should receive a follow up notice within 45 days indicating the result of our review.

Really? 45 days? If he doesn't GET his greencard in 45 days I will be mad beyond belief. Thanks for nothing USCIS.

Hi, I am on the same boat: applied for AOS on Dec 6, 2011, was transferred on Jan 5.... and still nothing(((( I placed my service request on July 3, and yesterday received the following answer:

We recognise your interest .... and aware of the difficulties caused by any delay... The CSC is commited to processing this workload, and will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in an expeditious fashion as soon as available under our resource constraints.

So frustrated!

It is terribly frustrating. The most annoying thing for me is that since I'm adjusting status from F1, I'll have to be interviewed which will just add more time. :(

Hello my fellow January Transfers!!! First post here, I just wanted to let you know I signed-up just so I could also complain in this thread. :) I've been lurking for months trying to find a definitive timeline of what to expect with the process, but apparently, there isn't one. I just thought I'd let you know we're in the same boat, pending since mid-December and also transferred to the shredd....err...California Service Center (I sure hope it wasn't the shredder).

Timeline below. I'll add my full timelines someday soon, but I'm too lazy right now so here's the one for our AOS (I-485).

Married: 11/19/11

Packet Sent: 12/15/11

NOA1: 12/19/11

Biometrics Notice: 12/22/11

Biometrics Completed: 01/09/12

Transfer NOA to CSC: 01/25/12

No further action since January. Again, as someone mentioned before their automated phone system takes you through the whole thing to check status and then says "your case is pending" and further states not to call until 180 days after the transfer notice. I mean, even just a simple "Hey, we didn't forget about you or lose your paperwork" would suffice for me...but NOTHING for 6 months?? Really? Government, I am so disappoint.

Total elapsed time between filing I-129F to GC in hand 569 days or 1 Year, 6 months, 22 days.

I can't remember the complete process however there's an option of "having problems with your case" or something similar. Try putting in a service request when you get to speak a person. Odds are that a service request won't really do that much if they're backlogged anyways but it's at least a bit calming to know that you didn't get stuck in the automated system. It's a loop for sure!

Welcome to VJ :)

Haha. I refuse to get stuck in a automated system!

I pay my taxes and I demand a person to speak with. BUT, I'm calm for the most part. Once they pass that 180 days if I don't hear a word, they will definitely be hearing from me. Oh look, that'll be on Wednesday. :)

Thanks for the welcome. It's nice to know that we aren't the only forgotten ones out there.

USCIS is mostly funded by the petition/application fees though. You figure $ 340 and up for most cases, and it must be a really neat xmas party they're having. Hehe. Talk their ears off, you already paid for it :)
