I have dealt with vicious dogs. I encounter dogs on almost a daily basis. My brother has owned two pitbulls, as have several friends. Never had a problem with them. They get a bad rap. The problem is with the owner, not the dog. The other brother was a meter reader for DWP for a few years. They were not allowed to even pepper-spray the dogs.

It's those little toy dogs that are the most annoying, the ones that are all psycho because their owners don't treat them like dogs -- Makes me want to slap the owner, and swift kick the dog to shut it up, but I wouldn't do that because that would be cruel (abusing the dog, not slapping the owner ).

If you change "dogs" to "guns" in that diatribe, you'll understand why some of us don't understand why some of you place blame on objects that are "controlled" by their owners.

At least a dog can think and act independently from it's owner yet you're still making the case that it's the owner's fault. Why don't folks do the same in the case of guns?

There are folks here on VJ who've gotten their CCW permits simply because they're scared of dogs (and mt. lions) while running.

Non-racist people don't care about this case because this case is cut and dry and over with. Only when big brotha reached in did it get out of hand. Simply put, the federal government has no business even looking into these matters and the president of the United States should have better things to do. I understand this isn't Jimmy Fallon or anything, but there has to be "bigger" things than this for our tax dollars to be wasted on.
