hello,

I am filing petition for both of my parents as a USC and on the immigrant visa form ds-230, there is question 31a. where it's asked who is accompanying the beneficiary to the US. I would like to know if it is wise and possible to add under-21 unmarried there to follow them. Many thanks for your replies...

There are no derivatives allowed off of IR-5 (parent of USC).

If you're talking about a sibling - you're missing a word there, no, you can't get them a visa that way. You have to file stand alone I-130 and wait 10-24 years for the visa number to become available (depending on the country of origin).

Many thanks for that fast reply! I think my parents can file for the sibling later...

One more thing... filing for both parents and I have to send documents with the ds-230. DO I have to send 2 original copies with their marriage certificate? We only have 1 :(

Make a photocopy of the original marriage certificate and tell parents to bring additional originals to visa interview?
